The Director, Post-Silicon Validation will be responsible for building and leading teams through the validation, characterization, debug, qualification, and datasheet verification of SiTime's industry-leading MEMS-based timing products. This role will drive post-silicon execution across a broad portfolio of products spanning networking, communications infrastructure, datacenter, industrial, automotive, mobile, and ultra-low-power applications.The ideal candidate is a highly motivated, self-starting leader adept at driving fast-moving engineering organizations and possessing excellent technical, managerial, and communication skills. The position requires close collaboration with Circuit Design, MEMS Development, Product Engineering, Test Engineering, Quality, and Applications teams to ensure rapid silicon learning cycles, robust product performance, and efficient qualification of new technologies and products.ResponsibilitiesLead a cross-functional Post-Silicon Validation organization consisting of validation, characterization, systems, firmware/software, and automation engineers.Provide broad and deep technical expertise and quickly understand complex silicon, system, and technology challenges, forming strategies to resolve product risks and accelerate learning cycles.Define and drive the organization's post-silicon validation strategy, methodologies, infrastructure, and long-term technical direction.Create and execute comprehensive validation and characterization plans to ensure product functionality, performance, reliability, and datasheet compliance.Lead first-silicon bring-up, debug, characterization, and qualification activities for new products and technology platforms.Develop and maintain validation methodologies covering electrical, thermal, environmental, reliability, and system-level performance evaluation.Identify product and process shortcomings and establish robust methodologies to improve characterization efficiency, coverage, and data quality.Collaborate with Circuit Design, MEMS Development, Packaging, NPI and Test Engineering teams to identify performance limitations, root causes, and opportunities for design improvement.Lead development of automated hardware, software, firmware, and data analysis platforms for high-throughput characterization and validation.Drive engineering failure analysis activities and root-cause investigations for silicon and system-level issues.Develop characterization techniques and calibration methodologies that improve product performance and accelerate technology development.Establish validation metrics, best practices, and reporting methodologies to ensure consistent execution across product lines and development sites.Lead and develop managers, technical leaders, and engineers across multiple validation disciplines while establishing organizational structure, technical direction, and career development plans.Recruit and build a world-class post-silicon validation organization.Manage teams to accomplish technical, schedule, quality, and organizational objectives.Drive strategic initiatives and special projects as required by management or evolving business needs.RequirementsMS or PhD degree in Electrical Engineering, Physics, Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent field.Minimum 12 years of industry experience in semiconductor post-silicon validation, characterization, systems engineering, mixed-signal development, or related disciplines.Minimum 5 years of proven experience in a senior engineering leadership role leading managers and engineering teams.Strong background in mixed-signal, analog, MEMS, sensor, RF, timing, or related semiconductor technologies.Proven track record of leading post-silicon bring-up, debug, characterization, qualification, and datasheet validation for complex semiconductor products.Proven track record in each of the following:Post-silicon validation planning and executionSilicon bring-up and debugMixed-signal and system-level characterizationDatasheet validation and correlationFailure analysis and root-cause investigationStatistical analysis and data correlationAutomated characterization and data collection systemsCalibration and compensation methodologiesQualification and reliability testingValidation infrastructure developmentExperience developing data-driven validation and characterization methodologies using MATLAB, Python, or similar environments.Hands-on familiarity with laboratory instrumentation, automated measurement systems, and high-volume characterization environments.Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to derive insights from large data sets and complex measurement results.Prior experience recruiting, building, and leading successful engineering organizations with a proven record of developing high-performing teams.Willing and able to travel both domestically and internationallyDesired Characteristics & AttributesExcellent analytical and
