Quality Inspector

Position description: The Inspector is responsible for visual and mechanical inspection and quality monitoring of finished ceramic products. Operator must also meet any production standards.

Work schedule: Two positions available: One position is 5:45 am – 2:15 pm Monday-Friday. The other position will train from 5:45 am – 2:15 pm Monday-Friday for about 4 weeks before moving to regular hours of 2:30 pm – 11:00 pm Monday-Friday.

Primary job responsibilities: The operator will inspect finished ceramic products, ensuring they meet the customers’ specifications. Operator must be able to read and interpret specifications, process sheets, inspection procedures, diagrams, and charts. Will prepare and maintain all necessary paperwork. Must be detail oriented and quality conscious. Will follow written and verbal instructions given by supervisor to perform production tasks. Requires basic math and basic computer skills and good communication skills.

Requirements include:

• High School diploma or equivalent
• Good reading and writing skills to interpret and follow all reference materials
• Good eyesight and hand/eye coordination
• Ability to use mechanical inspection tools, such as microscopes, micrometers, calipers
• Ability to lift up to 25 pounds
• Quality-focused and detail-oriented
• Basic math skills
• Basic computer skills
• Good interpersonal skills
