About the Role

As a Busperson at Cedar Bistro, you will play an important role in creating a clean, welcoming, and enjoyable dining experience for our guests.

This position supports servers and other restaurant team members by clearing and resetting tables, maintaining dining and service areas, restocking supplies, and assisting with food and beverage delivery as needed. Buspersons help keep service moving efficiently, particularly during busy periods, and contribute directly to the overall guest experience.

Success in this role requires teamwork, attention to detail, a strong work ethic, and the ability to stay organized in a fast-paced restaurant environment.

Minimum Qualifications
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.

  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

  • Ability to follow instructions and established service procedures.

  • Ability to stand and remain active for extended periods.

  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Previous restaurant, hospitality, or customer service experience.

  • Familiarity with food safety and sanitation practices.

  • Experience working in a fast-paced dining environment.

Responsibilities
  • Clear tables promptly after guests leave.

  • Clean, sanitize, and reset tables for incoming guests.

  • Assist servers with delivering food, beverages, and other guest requests.

  • Remove dishes, glassware, utensils, and other items from tables throughout service.

  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the dining room and service stations.

  • Restock napkins, utensils, glassware, condiments, and other supplies as needed.

  • Assist with preparing the dining area before service and completing closing responsibilities after service.

  • Communicate with servers, kitchen staff, hosts, and management to support efficient restaurant operations.

  • Respond promptly to guest and team member requests.

  • Help maintain clean floors, walkways, and work areas.

  • Follow established food safety, sanitation, and workplace safety procedures.

  • Handle dishes, glassware, and restaurant equipment carefully and appropriately.

  • Assist other team members during busy periods as needed.

  • Perform other duties as assigned.
