Job Description

Description:

Lead the floor. Develop the team. Drive results.

We are looking for a hands-on Production Supervisor who enjoys being where the action is—on the production floor, supporting the team, solving problems, and keeping operations moving.

In this role, you will lead day-to-day production activities with a focus on safety, quality, productivity, efficiency, and team member development. You’ll work closely with production, quality, maintenance, and other departments to maximize uptime, reduce waste, and ensure we consistently meet our production goals.

What You’ll Do
  • Lead by example and create a positive, accountable, “can-do” work environment.
  • Provide day-to-day leadership, direction, coaching, and support to production team members.
  • Maintain a strong presence on the production floor and stay actively engaged with operations throughout the shift.
  • Promote a safety-first culture, including proper PPE use and timely reporting and investigation of injuries and incidents.
  • Drive production performance by maximizing machine uptime, improving labor utilization, and addressing downtime quickly.
  • Monitor production throughout the shift and proactively respond to quality, process, equipment, and operator concerns.
  • Partner with Quality and Maintenance to identify issues, determine root causes, and support corrective actions.
  • Reduce scrap and rework through effective training, process controls, accountability, and continuous improvement.
  • Ensure production and quality standards are consistently followed and team members are accountable for the parts they produce.
  • Train, coach, and mentor new and existing team members on production requirements, quality standards, safety expectations, and company policies.
  • Verify new-hire training is effective and team members are prepared to perform their roles successfully.
  • Coordinate rework and sorting activities when needed.
  • Support 5S and maintain a clean, organized, and safe production environment.
  • Identify maintenance concerns and work with the appropriate teams to get issues resolved.
  • Accurately complete shift production reporting, including production, scrap, downtime, labor, and other required information.
  • Conduct regular floor walk-throughs to verify part quality, production performance, safety, and overall operational effectiveness.
  • Consistently apply company policies, procedures, and plant expectations.
What Success Looks Like

A successful Production Supervisor is visible, engaged, and proactive. You build relationships with your team while holding people accountable. You recognize problems early, take action, communicate effectively, and keep safety, quality, and production moving in the right direction.

If you enjoy leading people, solving problems, improving processes, and making an impact on the production floor, we want to hear from you.
