Job Description

Sr. Content Marketing Manager, B2B SaaS

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, which manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Senior Content Marketing Manager, B2B SaaS based in the United States.

We are seeking a strategic, hands-on Senior Content Marketing Manager to shape and execute content initiatives that strengthen brand visibility, engage technical audiences, and accelerate business growth. In this role, you will lead content strategy across SEO, answer engine optimization (AEO), and generative engine optimization (GEO), helping the brand stand out across traditional search engines and AI-powered discovery platforms. You will transform complex technical concepts into compelling content that resonates with engineering leaders and B2B technology buyers. Working closely with marketing leadership and external creative partners, you will develop executive thought leadership, customer stories, original research, and multimedia campaigns. You will also build AI-assisted content workflows and use performance data to improve reach, engagement, pipeline contribution, and revenue impact. This remote opportunity is ideal for a creative, analytical marketer who thrives in a fast-moving SaaS environment and enjoys experimenting with new approaches to content growth.

Accountabilities
  • Own and continuously improve the content marketing strategy across SEO, AEO, and GEO to increase visibility in Google, AI Overviews, ChatGPT, Claude, Perplexity, and other discovery platforms.

  • Develop and execute an integrated content plan across owned, earned, and paid channels, aligning initiatives with growth marketing priorities and business objectives.

  • Build and manage an executive thought leadership program, including ghostwritten LinkedIn posts, contributed articles, opinion pieces, and conference or speaking abstracts.

  • Create and edit compelling short- and long-form content for engineering leaders and technical decision-makers, including blog articles, customer case studies, original research, social content, and short-form video.

  • Translate complex technical topics into accessible, persuasive messaging that demonstrates value, builds trust, and encourages meaningful action.

  • Connect content performance to business outcomes by tracking leads, influenced pipeline, revenue contribution, engagement, and brand visibility across traditional and AI-powered search.

  • Monitor AI search citations, visibility, and share of voice for priority topics and prompts, using insights to refine content strategy and improve discoverability.

  • Manage content, design, and SEO/AEO agency relationships, evaluate partner performance, and determine which activities should remain outsourced, move in-house, or adopt AI-assisted workflows.

  • Build and document repeatable AI-powered processes for research, drafting, content repurposing, and optimization while maintaining technical accuracy, editorial quality, and a consistent brand voice.

  • Own content calendars, coordinate production schedules, and ensure content is delivered consistently across formats and distribution channels.

  • Grow executive visibility and audience engagement on platforms such as LinkedIn and YouTube, tracking outcomes including follower growth, impressions, and inbound speaking or podcast opportunities.

  • Use analytics and experimentation to assess content effectiveness, recommend new strategies, and continually improve marketing impact.

Requirements:
  • At least 5 years of B2B SaaS content marketing experience, ideally within a scaling software startup or similarly fast-paced technology organization.

  • Strong understanding of B2B technology buyers, their decision-making journeys, and the content required to engage technical and executive audiences at different stages of the buying process.

  • Demonstrated ability to develop content strategies that support measurable business outcomes, including qualified leads, influenced pipeline, and revenue, rather than focusing solely on vanity metrics.

  • Hands-on experience producing and editing written, visual, and video content, including short-form video for professional social platforms and YouTube.

  • Proven ability to translate complex technical subjects into clear, engaging messaging, persuasive copy, and effective calls to action.

  • Experience managing content calendars and distributing content across owned, earned, and paid channels.

  • Working knowledge of SEO, AEO, and GEO, with an understanding of how AI-powered search and answer engines are changing content discovery and marketing strategy.

  • Practical, regular use of AI tools to improve research, drafting, repurposing, and optimization while maintaining high standards for accuracy, originality, and brand consistency.

  • Experience measuring and improving executive thought leadership, particularly on LinkedIn, with demonstrable results in audience growth, impressions, engagement, or inbound opportunities.

  • Familiarity with AI search visibility measurement, including citations and share of voice across relevant prompts and topics.

  • Proficiency with Google Analytics, Google Search Console, and Google Tag Manager, along with an SEO platform such as Ahrefs or Semrush.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, sound editorial judgment, and the ability to collaborate effectively with marketing leaders, technical subject matter experts, and external agency partners.

  • A data-informed, experimental mindset, with a willingness to test new ideas, learn from setbacks, and continuously refine content programs.

  • The ability to work independently, prioritize competing initiatives, and balance strategic planning with hands-on execution.

  • Candidates do not need to meet every listed criterion to apply. Strength in several core areas, combined with a willingness to learn and develop in others, is valued.

Benefits:
  • Annual salary range: $145,000–$165,000. Final compensation depends on the candidate’s skills, experience, overall assessment, company budget, and relevant market data.

  • Competitive total compensation package, including equity.

  • 401(k) plan with company matching.

  • Flexible time off to support work-life balance and personal well-being.

  • Paid company holidays.

  • Remote work opportunity based in the United States.

  • A collaborative, inclusive environment that values respect, empathy, diverse perspectives, and shared success.

  • The opportunity to influence content strategy, experiment with emerging AI-driven marketing practices, and contribute to measurable business growth.

  • Opportunities to learn, grow professionally, and collaborate with experienced colleagues in a results-oriented environment.
