Sales Associate in Coronado, California at Shop Bikini Bird Corp

The Sales Associate is the face of Bikinibird for every guest who walks through our doors at the Hotel del Coronado — our first mainland boutique. This role is essential to delivering the elevated, personal shopping experience our brand is known for, and to introducing Bikinibird's island-born style and spirit to a brand-new coastal audience.

Responsibilities for Sales Associate

• Greet and engage every customer with warm, attentive service that reflects the Bikinibird brand
• Build genuine relationships with guests — remember preferences, follow up, and turn first-time visitors into repeat, loyal clientele
• Maintain store appearance, merchandising, and visual presentation to brand standard
• Process sales transactions accurately and efficiently using Shopify
• Assist with receiving, stocking, and organizing inventory, and support regular quality assurance of merchandise
• Stay current on product knowledge, brand story, and promotions to confidently represent Bikinibird to guests who may be discovering the brand for the first time
• Support opening and closing procedures as scheduled
• Follow loss prevention procedures and stay alert to suspicious activity
• Work collaboratively with the store team to help meet daily and monthly sales goals

Qualifications for Sales Associate

• Previous retail or hospitality experience preferred; resort or luxury retail a plus
• Warm, outgoing, customer-first personality with a genuine interest in people
• Strong communication skills and comfort representing a brand authentically to guests
• Familiarity with social platforms (Instagram, Facebook, Pinterest, etc.) a plus
• Available to work a flexible schedule, including weekends, holidays, and peak season
• Ability to reach overhead, bend, squat, kneel, stand for extended periods, and lift/carry merchandise
• Reliable, punctual, and a strong team player
