Senior Human Resources Manager

Position Summary

As a Senior Human Resources Manager, you'll drive HR strategy, oversee daily operations, and shape the employee experience across the organization. You will balance both strategic vision and hands-on execution. You'll bring a strong foundation in employee relations, compliance, benefits, organizational development, and HR operations, with experience in healthcare, pharmacy, supply chain, or a similarly regulated industry. In this role, you are seasoned and strategic and will lead our HR function and serve as a key partner to executive leadership.

Key Responsibilities

HR Strategy and Leadership

  • Serve as a strategic business partner to senior leadership, ensuring HR initiatives align with business goals
  • Support the development and lead the execution of HR strategies across performance, employee engagement, culture, and workforce planning
  • Provide guidance and contribute to the HR team, promoting collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement
  • Develop and maintain HR dashboards, KPIs, and reports to inform decision-making and measure impact

Employee Relations and Compliance

  • Manage complex employee relations matters, including investigations, disciplinary actions, and conflict resolution
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations (FMLA, ADA, FLSA, EEO, etc.)
  • Maintain and update company policies and procedures; provide training to managers and staff on policy application
  • Lead compliance audits and risk mitigation efforts, ensuring all HR practices meet legal and regulatory requirements

Benefits, Compensation, and Leave Administration

  • Support administration of employee benefits programs, including health, dental, vision, retirement, wellness, and leave of absence
  • Partner with Finance to develop and manage compensation structures that ensure internal equity and market competitiveness
  • Manage vendor relationships and evaluate benefit offerings to enhance employee satisfaction and cost-effectiveness
  • Monitor and manage all types of employee leaves and accommodations in compliance with applicable laws

HR Operations and Systems

  • Ensure the accuracy and integrity of employee data across HR systems and tools
  • Support HRIS implementation and optimization initiatives to support data-driven HR operations
  • Partner cross-functionally with other departments including Clinical, Pharmacy, and Operations to deliver comprehensive HR support
  • Ensure consistency, compliance, and excellence in all aspects of the employee lifecycle
  • Conducting exit interviews and analyzing turnover data to recommend retention strategies
  • Leading or participating in wage and benefits benchmarking initiatives
  • Coordinating with external vendors to deliver employee services, such as relocation, transportation, or employee wellness programs
  • Representing the company in employment-related investigations, audits, or legal proceedings
  • Overseeing HR administrative functions, including recordkeeping, and reporting

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field
  • 7+ years of progressive HR experience
  • 2+ years in leadership / people management
  • Strong background in employee relations, compliance, performance management, and benefits administration
  • In-depth knowledge of U.S. employment laws and HR regulatory requirements
  • Proven ability to lead HR functions in high-growth, multi-site, or healthcare-related environments
  • Proficiency in HRIS systems such as ADP, Paylocity, Workday, or similar platforms
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and leadership skills
  • Ability to lead both strategically and tactically, balancing long-term planning with day-to-day execution

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master’s degree or SPHR/SHRM-SCP certification

Work Environment & Physical Requirements

  • On-site, office-based position
  • Fast-paced, collaborative environment supporting a growing pharmacy operation
  • Regular interaction with cross-functional teams including operations, pharmacy, and leadership
  • Primarily sedentary role with extended periods of sitting at a desk
  • Frequent use of hands for typing, data entry, and computer-based work
  • Ability to lift up to 15 lbs occasionally
  • Visual acuity required for working on a computer for extended periods
