Job Description
This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for a Salesforce Functional Architect in the United States.
This role is a senior-level opportunity to define and safeguard the functional architecture of a complex, enterprise-scale Salesforce ecosystem. You will shape how Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, CPQ, Billing, and related platforms operate together, ensuring automation and data models remain scalable, consistent, and resilient. Rather than focusing on ticket execution, you will design system-wide patterns, establish governance standards, and guide architectural decisions across global teams. Working closely with technical architects, platform owners, and business leaders, you will translate business needs into durable, well-structured Salesforce solutions. This position is ideal for someone who thrives in high-complexity environments and enjoys balancing strategic design with hands-on architectural oversight.
In this role, you will define Salesforce functional architecture and ensure long-term platform scalability, governance, and business alignment:
- Own end-to-end functional architecture across Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, Revenue Cloud (CPQ and Billing), and Experience Cloud, ensuring cohesive multi-cloud design.
- Define and maintain Flow-first automation strategy, including standards for when to use Flow, Apex, or configuration-based solutions.
- Establish governance frameworks, including naming conventions, automation guardrails, documentation standards, and release discipline.
- Oversee Salesforce data models for core objects such as accounts, opportunities, cases, and contracts, ensuring scalability and reporting integrity.
- Lead architectural design reviews, approve complex solutions, and act as escalation point for design and automation trade-offs.
- Partner with business stakeholders in revenue, finance, and enterprise applications to translate requirements into scalable CRM solutions.
- Mentor Salesforce administrators, analysts, and technical contributors while guiding system integrators and external partners.
- Ensure system stability by preventing automation conflicts, redundancy, and performance degradation in high-volume environments.
This role requires deep Salesforce expertise combined with strong architectural thinking, stakeholder leadership, and system design experience:
- 10+ years of Salesforce experience with progression into functional or solution architecture responsibilities.
- Strong expertise in Sales Cloud and/or Service Cloud data models and enterprise automation design.
- Hands-on experience with Salesforce CPQ and Billing solutions.
- Familiarity with AI-enabled Salesforce capabilities such as Agentforce and/or Einstein.
- Advanced expertise in Flow automation (record-triggered, scheduled, subflows, orchestration) in complex environments.
- Strong understanding of declarative vs Apex design trade-offs and scalable system architecture principles.
- Proven ability to design modular, reusable, and bulk-safe automation frameworks.
- Experience supporting large-scale Salesforce environments with complex permissions and high user volumes.
- Strong data modeling skills with awareness of long-term integration and reporting implications.
- Ability to translate ambiguous business requirements into structured, scalable system designs.
- Experience defining governance standards and enforcing architectural consistency across teams.
- Salesforce certifications preferred, with the ability to articulate their practical application in real-world architecture.
- Competitive annual base salary range ($127,539 – $170,805)
- Performance-based bonus opportunities
- Equity or long-term incentive potential (role-dependent)
- Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision insurance
- Flexible work arrangements depending on team and location
- Opportunities for professional development and Salesforce certification support
- Inclusive, collaborative, and global work environment
- Exposure to large-scale enterprise Salesforce transformation initiatives
- Strong emphasis on learning, innovation, and continuous improvement culture
