JOB SUMMARY
Our Special Education Teacher wil provide programming to students with varying abilities according to NYS Education standards along with the students Individualized Education Plans.

What You'll Do...
•Develop lesson plans and activities based on Alternate Achievement Standards.
•Implement and administer NYS Alternate Assessment for grades 3-8.
•Evaluate and assess the academic and social skills of students.
•Implement current IEP for assigned students and develop draft IEP for following school year.
•Create quartely progress monitoring.
•Collect, analyze, and report using data collection processes, including behavior data.
•Supervise paraprofessionals assigned to work in their classroom.
•Provide efficient system for addressing the needs of students and implementing individualized interventions, including intensive interventions as needed.
•Select, develop, and implement appropiate materials.

What You'll Need... •NYS Special Education Certification.
•Knowledge of NYS Alternative Achievement Standards and Assessments, IEPs.
