About the Role

Join the SkyChefs team and be part of the behind-the-scenes operation that helps keep airline passengers moving!

As a member of our Food Production team, youll help prepare high-quality meals in a fast-paced culinary environment. Youll work alongside our cooks and kitchen team to prepare, portion, package, and store food while maintaining our standards for quality, food safety, and presentation.

What Youll Do

  • Prepare food according to established recipes, specifications, and production procedures.
    Assist cooks with ingredient preparation and recipe execution.
  • Cut, slice, dice, and prepare ingredients using basic culinary techniques, including julienne, batonnet, chiffonade, brunoise, and assorted slicing methods.
  • Ensure food meets established standards for taste, color, texture, portioning, and presentation.
    Wrap, label, date, refrigerate, and properly store food products according to established procedures.
  • Follow HACCP and food safety requirements, including proper temperature controls, documentation, and safe food-handling practices.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitized workstation throughout your shift.
  • Monitor inventory and supply levels and request additional food products or supplies as needed.
  • Safely use cutlery, kitchen equipment, and food-production machinery.
  • Use tablets and other basic technology required to support daily production activities.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned based on operational needs.

What Were Looking For

  • Ability to read, speak, and write English.
  • Basic knowledge of food preparation and safe food-handling practices.
  • Familiarity with recipes, specifications, and food-production methods.
  • Knowledge of basic culinary knife cuts and food-preparation techniques.
  • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to food quality and safety.
  • Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced production environment.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • Experience using cutlery, commercial kitchen equipment, or food-production machinery is preferred.
  • Basic ability to operate tablets and other workplace technology.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule. Schedules may change based on business needs and the applicable bidding process.
