Job Description
Girl Scouts Heart of the Hudson is looking for an energetic, relationship-focused Volunteer Recruiter Specialist (Community Engagement) to help grow Girl Scouting throughout Dutchess and Putnam Counties.
In this role, you'll recruit and support volunteers, build partnerships with schools and community organizations, and help ensure every girl has access to the leadership opportunities Girl Scouts provides. If you enjoy community outreach, recruiting, networking, and making a positive impact, we'd love to meet you!
What You'll Do
* Recruit, engage, and retain adult volunteers to support local Girl Scout troops.
* Build relationships with schools, community organizations, businesses, and local leaders to expand Girl Scout opportunities.
* Support and coach troop leaders and Service Unit volunteers, providing the resources they need to succeed.
* Develop and implement membership recruitment and retention strategies.
* Connect girls and families with local troop opportunities.
* Represent Girl Scouts Heart of the Hudson at community events, recruitment activities, and networking opportunities.
* Analyze membership data and identify opportunities for growth.
* Promote Girl Scout programs, events, and leadership experiences throughout the community.
* Collaborate with internal teams to deliver exceptional service to members and volunteers.
What You'll Bring
* Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
* Two or more years of experience in community engagement, volunteer management, recruiting, nonprofit organizations, education, customer success, outreach, or a related field.
* Excellent relationship-building, communication, and networking skills.
* Strong organizational and time management abilities with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
* A passion for community engagement and helping others succeed.
* Experience using Microsoft Office; Salesforce or CRM experience is a plus.
* Valid driver's license and reliable transportation to travel throughout the GSHH footprint
* Ability to work evenings and weekends for meetings and community events.
