Job Description

If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you to join Integrated Services of Kalamazoo as our Manager of Specialty Services and make a difference in our community and the lives of the individuals we serve.

What You Will Be Doing
As our Manager of Specialty Services, you’ll provide leadership, clinical oversight, and operational direction for several teams including care coordination, specialized residential services, discharge planning, Zero Suicide, and more. You’ll lead your teams in partnering with internal departments, community providers, Medicaid Health Plans, PIHPs, MDHHS, hospitals, and specialized residential providers to ensure high-quality, person-centered services. You’ll serve as ISK’s subject matter expert on Home and Community Based Services (HCBS) regulations, interpreting state and federal requirements, and ensuring organizational compliance. You’ll also manage quality improvement activities, utilization management, regulatory compliance, and documentation requirements related to organizational/regional expectations, state and federal guidelines, and accreditation standards.

What We Require
You must possess a Master's degree in social work or counseling and have a minimum of five years’ experience working with Adults with a Mental Illness, Youth with a Serious Emotional Disturbance, and/or Individuals with an Intellectual and/or Developmental Disability. You must have a minimum of two years’ experience supervising clinical staff and providing general administrative oversight in a behavioral health setting. A valid Michigan Driver’s License and Licensed Master's Social Worker (LMSW) or Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) is required.

You will have a strong understanding of the needs of persons with mental illness, substance use disorders, and co-morbid primary care conditions. You will understand how to implement a strong recovery philosophy and be able to collaborate and develop teams. Must possess excellent communication, interpersonal, and human relation skills as well as advanced computer skills including word processing, spreadsheets, database management, and experience working with electronic medical records. Lived experiences with behavioral health issues are desired.

Physical Requirements / Working Conditions:
Physical Efforts– Job demands include prolonged sitting and standing as appropriate. May occasionally require light lifting up to 25 pounds, stooping, kneeling, crouching, or bending as appropriate. Requires coordination of hands and/or eye/hand/foot.

Working Conditions– Office environment with noise from computers, copy machine, and telephones. Use of computer for periods in excess of 30 minutes at a time. Possible eyestrain from extended periods of viewing computer screen. May be exposed to bloodborne pathogens, infectious diseases, and parasites. Travel throughout the Kalamazoo area is required.
