Oracle EBS Payroll Functional

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Oracle EBS Payroll Functional based in India.

This role is focused on delivering functional expertise and operational excellence across Oracle EBS Payroll and HRMS solutions.
You will support complex payroll processes, system enhancements, implementations, and ongoing optimization initiatives.
The position requires strong knowledge of Oracle EBS R12.2.9, payroll configurations, and integration capabilities.
You will collaborate with technical teams, business stakeholders, and end users to deliver reliable human capital management solutions.

Accountabilities:

As an Oracle EBS Payroll Functional professional, you will be responsible for managing payroll-related initiatives, providing functional guidance, and ensuring effective delivery of Oracle HRMS solutions. You will work closely with technical teams and business users to maintain, enhance, and optimize payroll processes.

  • Lead and manage Oracle EBS Payroll projects, ensuring successful delivery within defined timelines and quality standards.
  • Provide functional expertise across Oracle EBS Payroll and related HRMS modules to support business operations.
  • Analyze business requirements and translate them into effective Oracle EBS solutions and configurations.
  • Collaborate with technical teams to design, develop, and implement payroll enhancements and integrations.
  • Support system testing activities, including functional testing, regression testing, and user acceptance testing.
  • Troubleshoot payroll issues, perform root cause analysis, and implement effective resolutions.
  • Support end users through training, guidance, and issue resolution.
  • Create and maintain documentation for business processes, system configurations, and functional specifications.
  • Manage payroll-related support activities while ensuring compliance with business and statutory requirements.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives by identifying opportunities to enhance system functionality and operational efficiency.
Requirements:

The ideal candidate brings extensive Oracle EBS Payroll experience with strong functional knowledge, technical understanding, and the ability to collaborate across business and technology teams. You should have experience supporting complex payroll environments, implementations, and system enhancements.

  • 8–12 years of experience working with Oracle EBS Payroll and Oracle HRMS modules.
  • Proven experience supporting multiple Oracle EBS Payroll support projects and end-to-end implementations.
  • Strong functional expertise in Oracle EBS R12.2.9 Payroll.
  • Hands-on experience with Fast Formula development and payroll configuration.
  • Advanced knowledge of SQL, PL/SQL, and Oracle development tools including Forms, Reports, Workflow, and BI Publisher (XML Publisher).
  • Experience with OA Framework (OAF), EBS personalization, and module customization.
  • Understanding of Oracle Application Object Library (AOL) components and Oracle development standards.
  • Experience working with Oracle APIs, interface tables, data conversions, and system integrations.
  • Knowledge of Unix/Linux shell scripting for automation and Oracle EBS-related activities.
  • Understanding of ADOP (Online Patching) and Oracle EBS R12.2 architecture.
  • Strong understanding of HR, benefits, and payroll business processes, statutory requirements, and configuration logic.
  • Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
  • Flexibility to work scheduled shifts based on business requirements.
