The Data Analyst will serve as a trusted analytics partner across multiple business functions, owning analysis projects from discovery through delivery while helping teams make better decisions through reliable data.
- Partner closely with Marketing, Sales, Finance, Product, People, and Operations teams to understand business objectives, define key metrics, and identify opportunities for data-driven improvements.
- Own the full analytics lifecycle, including clarifying business questions, selecting appropriate datasets, conducting analysis, delivering insights, and ensuring findings lead to actionable decisions.
- Develop deep knowledge of the business domain and document important metric definitions, assumptions, limitations, and best practices to create scalable analytics knowledge.
- Build and maintain trusted analytics assets, including data models, dashboards, reports, and reusable datasets that support business teams.
- Leverage AI-powered analytics tools to improve productivity, while validating outputs, identifying inaccuracies, and strengthening the quality of automated insights.
- Contribute to improvements across the data platform, including data modeling, pipeline enhancements, debugging, and resolving data inconsistencies.
- Translate business needs into clear analytical solutions and communicate complex data findings in a way that enables non-technical stakeholders to take action.
- Promote a culture of data-driven decision-making by improving accessibility, reliability, and understanding of business information.
The ideal candidate is a curious and business-oriented analyst who combines strong technical capabilities with excellent communication skills and a passion for solving ambiguous problems.
- 3+ years of experience in an analytics-focused role such as Data Analyst, BI Analyst, Business Analyst, Analytics Engineer, or similar position.
- Proven experience acting as an analytics partner for business teams such as Marketing, Sales, Finance, Product, or Operations.
- Strong SQL skills and experience working directly with data warehouses to independently answer complex business questions.
- Experience building and maintaining datasets, dashboards, and reporting solutions used by non-technical stakeholders.
- Comfortable working in version-controlled environments using tools such as Git, branches, pull requests, and code reviews.
- Ability to investigate data discrepancies, understand root causes, and communicate findings clearly.
- Strong curiosity and problem-solving mindset, with the ability to challenge assumptions and uncover the real question behind business requests.
- Ability to work effectively with incomplete requirements and create structure in ambiguous situations.
- Experience using AI tools in daily workflows, with the ability to validate AI-generated insights and explain verification methods.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, especially when explaining data limitations, context, and recommendations.
- Experience with Python, dbt, Looker/LookML, Snowflake, ClickHouse, subscription businesses, fintech, or high-volume data environments is a plus.
