Job Description

Director of Homeschool Marketing

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Director of Homeschool Marketing based in United States.

This is a high-impact opportunity to build the consumer growth engine for an emerging homeschool education platform.
You will own the strategy for attracting, converting, activating, retaining, and growing a national community of homeschool families.
Rather than inheriting an established playbook, you’ll create the systems, channels, experiments, and strategies that make growth repeatable and scalable.
You’ll combine customer research, performance marketing, lifecycle, product marketing, content, creative, CRO, and analytics into one cohesive growth strategy.
The role offers significant autonomy, with responsibility for investment decisions, marketing performance, shared resources, and measurable commercial outcomes.
You’ll work closely with Product, Customer Experience, Marketing Operations, and specialized marketing teams in a collaborative, remote-first environment.
AI-native experimentation, strong commercial judgment, and a willingness to learn quickly will be central to your success.

Accountabilities
  • Own and execute the consumer growth strategy across acquisition, conversion, activation, retention, referral, advocacy, and revenue.
  • Translate business objectives into measurable marketing strategies, priorities, budgets, experiments, and performance targets.
  • Build and scale customer acquisition channels, testing audiences, offers, messaging, creative, landing pages, pricing, and campaign strategies.
  • Analyze funnel performance and key metrics including CAC, LTV, conversion, activation, churn, retention, payback, and customer behavior to guide investment decisions.
  • Develop a deep understanding of homeschool families through customer research, behavioral analysis, market insights, and direct customer engagement.
  • Shape positioning, messaging, offers, customer journeys, and go-to-market strategies around the needs and motivations of homeschool families.
  • Build lifecycle programs spanning nurture, onboarding, activation, engagement, retention, win-back, referral, and advocacy.
  • Partner with Product to translate new capabilities into compelling customer value while bringing customer insights into product strategy and roadmap discussions.
  • Collaborate with shared creative, content, digital, lifecycle, web, and production resources by providing clear briefs, strategic direction, and priorities.
  • Partner with educational funding stakeholders to identify opportunities and develop scalable customer-acquisition strategies around available funding programs.
  • Continuously experiment across channels, audiences, creative, messaging, offers, and customer experiences, using results to refine the growth model.
  • Leverage AI extensively for research, analysis, personalization, content creation, experimentation, automation, and decision-making.
  • Establish processes, systems, and operating rhythms that make consumer growth increasingly predictable, measurable, and repeatable.
  • Direct shared resources and make informed marketing investment decisions without relying on a large direct-report organization.
  • Provide strategic leadership and cross-functional alignment across Marketing, Product, Customer Experience, and other business functions.
Requirements:
  • 7+ years of progressive experience in B2C marketing, growth marketing, or a related discipline, with meaningful ownership of acquisition, revenue, or measurable growth outcomes.
  • Demonstrated experience building or scaling a consumer acquisition engine, preferably within a recurring-revenue model such as subscription, SaaS, membership, DTC, or marketplace businesses.
  • Strong understanding of the complete consumer growth funnel, including acquisition, conversion, activation, retention, churn, referral, and advocacy.
  • Broad expertise across performance marketing, lifecycle/CRM, brand, content, web, CRO, customer research, analytics, and experimentation.
  • Strong knowledge of performance marketing and customer-acquisition funnels, with the ability to diagnose performance, identify opportunities, and challenge existing strategies.
  • Experience managing meaningful marketing budgets and making investment decisions based on data, performance, and expected return.
  • Strong understanding of CAC, LTV, conversion, activation, retention, churn, and payback metrics, with the ability to turn analysis into actionable decisions.
  • Experience developing positioning, messaging, offers, campaigns, and go-to-market strategies for consumer audiences.
  • Proven ability to partner closely with Product and use customer insights and behavioral data to influence product and business decisions.
  • Strong commercial judgment and analytical skills, with the ability to connect customer behavior and marketing performance to business outcomes.
  • Excellent cross-functional leadership skills and the ability to create alignment and influence outcomes without relying solely on direct reporting authority.
  • Experience working in early-stage, high-growth, or ambiguous environments where processes and playbooks are still being developed.
  • Demonstrated ability to operate as a full-stack B2C marketer while maintaining a strategic perspective and knowing when to delegate execution.
  • Strong curiosity, initiative, resilience, and comfort with experimentation, failure, learning, and rapid course correction.
  • AI-native approach to work, with demonstrated use of AI tools to research, analyze, create, personalize, automate, experiment, and improve decision-making.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, or a related field preferred; equivalent professional experience and demonstrated results may be considered.
  • Experience in consumer EdTech, homeschool or family-focused brands, educational funding/ESA programs, consumer SaaS, subscription businesses, influencer or creator marketing, community-led growth, referral programs, or advocacy is a plus.
  • Must be eligible to work in the United States; visa sponsorship is not available for this position.
  • Ability to work effectively in a remote-first environment with strong communication, organization, autonomy, and collaboration skills.
Benefits:
  • Competitive total compensation package.
  • Medical, dental, vision, and voluntary benefits.
  • Remote-first work environment with flexible work options for eligible roles.
  • Unlimited PTO for salaried employees.
  • Additional “life happens” days to provide flexibility when needed.
  • Fully paid holiday week off at Christmas.
  • Access to an on-site gym and virtual wellness programs, depending on location and eligibility.
  • Wellness coaching and other well-being resources.
  • Recognition and rewards for birthdays, meaningful work anniversaries, and community service.
  • Quarterly Town Halls supporting transparent and open communication.
  • Annual social events, wellness activities, and community-building traditions.
  • Opportunity to build and own a consumer growth engine from an early stage through national scale.
  • Significant autonomy, strategic ownership, and exposure to cross-functional leadership.
  • Opportunity to leverage AI and emerging technologies to reshape modern consumer marketing.
