Overview

New Hope Services (NHS) is proudly celebrating 65 years of service to Southern Indiana and our extended service area. NHS has built the capacity to provide a full continuum of human services from child and family support through ability services. This position will cover Washington, Perry, Crawford and Harrison counties

COMPENSATION:

  • $43,888 annually
  • Full Time Benefits (eligible 1st day of the month, following 30 days of employment)

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

  • Provide community referral sources with information and training on Healthy Families
  • Ensure that all staff complete Healthy Families Indiana required trainings as needed
  • Complete a quarterly shadow & monthly QA call for all staff
  • Provide minimum of 2 hours of weekly individual supervision for staff
  • Documentation Responsibilities
    • Weekly supervision
    • Training tracking system
    • Quarterly report information in HFI database
    • Assign cases in HFI database to staff
  • Ensure assessment Healthy Family Program goals are met
  • Be willing to respond to off-duty client or staff emergencies
  • Participate in HF Advisory Board and HFI committee meetings
  • Attend community meetings as representative of HF and NHS

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Ability to work a flexible schedule
  • Demonstrate sound judgement in stressful situation
  • Experience with family services
  • Knowledge of infant and child development, parent-child interaction, maternal-infant health and dynamics of child abuse and neglect
  • Experience and willingness to work with culturally diverse populations that are present among the site's target population
  • Must possess a valid state driver's license, proof of insurance coverage per company policy, and have a vehicle that is reliable for transportation of consumers

EDUCATION/ YEARS OF EXPERIENCE:

  1. Bachelor’s degree, Council for Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA) approved, in Education or Social Services field such as Sociology, Psychology, Social Work or other degrees deemed applicable in accordance with established service standards required
  2. Three years professional experience with children and families preferred
  3. Previous supervisory experience preferred
  4. Home visiting experience with a strong background in prevention services to the 0-3 age population
