Business Intelligence Data and Reporting Specialist

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Business Intelligence Data and Reporting Specialist based in the United States.

This is an opportunity for a data and reporting professional to become a key contributor to performance visibility across a large portfolio of digital marketing clients.
You will manage approximately 100 Looker Studio dashboards while working within an established BigQuery data warehouse and reporting framework.
The role combines data management, dashboard development, quality assurance, troubleshooting, and internal stakeholder support.
You will partner with account teams to customize reporting, adapt metrics, and translate technical requirements into actionable business information.
Your ability to identify anomalies and resolve data issues quickly will be essential to maintaining accurate and reliable reporting.
You will also help optimize data flows and integrate new advertising platforms into existing reporting pipelines.
As a fully remote role, this position offers autonomy, flexibility, and the opportunity to work in a fast-paced, data-driven digital marketing environment.

Accountabilities:
  • Own the deployment, maintenance, quality assurance, and optimization of approximately 100 Looker Studio client dashboards based on standardized reporting templates.

  • Respond to account-team requests to customize reports, add visualizations, modify metrics, and adapt dashboards to specific client objectives.

  • Work within BigQuery architecture to update variables, manage client rosters, map new data fields, and maintain reliable data connections.

  • Integrate new advertising platforms and data sources into established reporting pipelines and frameworks.

  • Act as the primary internal resource for account managers regarding reporting logic, data anomalies, dashboard functionality, and platform-related questions.

  • Proactively monitor dashboards and data flows to identify performance issues, inconsistencies, and potential data-quality problems.

  • Diagnose and resolve reporting bugs and data mismatches, identifying root causes while minimizing disruption to upstream processes.

  • Maintain high standards of data integrity and reporting accuracy across a high-volume client portfolio.

  • Communicate technical reporting concepts, issues, and solutions clearly to non-technical stakeholders.

  • Identify opportunities to improve reporting processes, operational efficiency, and the reliability of performance data.

  • Help maintain consistent reporting standards and best practices across business intelligence operations.

Requirements:
  • 2+ years of experience in digital marketing analytics, performance reporting, data management, or a related field.

  • Strong hands-on proficiency with Looker Studio, including building, maintaining, customizing, and troubleshooting dashboards.

  • Solid working knowledge of Google BigQuery and SQL, including data mapping, variable management, and troubleshooting data connections.

  • Strong understanding of digital marketing metrics and advertising-platform ecosystems, including Meta, Google Ads, GA4, TikTok, Amazon, and similar platforms.

  • Hands-on experience with DevOps practices and workflows.

  • Proven experience working with Google Cloud Platform (GCP).

  • Demonstrated ability to manage high-volume deliverables, including portfolios of 100+ reports, without compromising accuracy or attention to detail.

  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills, with the ability to quickly diagnose data mismatches, broken reports, and reporting anomalies.

  • Excellent organizational skills and a strong commitment to precision, clean processes, and operational reliability.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, particularly the ability to explain technical reporting concepts clearly to non-technical account teams.

  • Ability to work independently, manage competing priorities, and respond efficiently to time-sensitive requests.

  • Experience working in an agency environment or managing multi-client reporting portfolios is highly preferred.

  • A proactive approach to identifying anomalies and potential data-quality issues before they affect internal stakeholders or clients.

Benefits:
  • Competitive compensation package, with the source posting indicating CAD $75,000–$95,000 annually.

  • Fully remote work environment.

  • Flexible working schedule designed to support productivity and work-life balance.

  • Benefits package through GroupSource after completion of the three-month probationary period, where applicable to eligible Canadian employees.

  • Virtual company events focused on connection, collaboration, and professional growth.

  • Casual work environment and dress code.

  • Additional workplace perks for employees who visit the office, including bike storage and a dog-friendly environment.

  • Opportunity to work with large-scale digital marketing data and diverse client portfolios.

  • Exposure to major advertising platforms, cloud data infrastructure, business intelligence, and advanced reporting workflows.

  • Collaborative environment where data accuracy, operational excellence, and client performance are highly valued.
