Maintenance Technician in Lafayette, Louisiana at A. C. Lewis Management

We have an immediate opening for a qualified Maintenance Technician. This is a full-time position with a comprehensive benefits package that includes:

Resposibilities will include:

• Ability to schedule, perform and monitor preventative maintenance and apartment turnovers
• Diagnoses and corrects problems in the areas of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, swimming, pool, carpentry, dry walling, exterior structure, and appliances
• Promptly responds to work order requests
• Oversees that residential units have been turned in a timely matter and work has been completed properly
• Promotes quality living experience for all residents by using excellent customer service skills
• Performs emergency maintenance work when paged
• Continuous inspection of buildings, grounds and safety for property and alerts maintenance to any repairs needed
• Assists supervisor with scheduling and communication of contractors and vendors
• May be requested by supervisor to perform other tasks as needed from time to time

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Minimum of 1 year previous experience in property management maintenance, or related trade is require
• Ability to read, write and understand the English language
• Knowledge to use a computer
• Operations of general office equipment such as telephone, fax, printer, and copier
• Ability to relate to others by using excellent customer service skills
• Excellent verbal and communication skills
• Ability to organize and use efficient time management skills
• Comprehension of basic mathematical functions
• Ability to multi task, make effective decisions, analyze and resolve problems
• Must be able to consistently meet deadlines
• Ability to portray flexibility and creativity in a variety of situation
