Duties & Responsibilities

  • Receives requests for audiovisual (AV) equipment in company conference rooms and training centers; sets up and tests equipment, then operates equipment or hands control over to designated team members.
  • Records meetings and presentations with appropriate equipment.
  • Provides technical support for teleconferences, webinars, and distance-learning classes.
  • Edits, copies, and stores recordings of events.
  • Provides advice and suggestions to staff regarding the preparation and use of AV materials for meetings and conferences.
  • Tracks inventory of equipment and orders necessary supplies.
  • Facilitates needed equipment repairs, which may include shipment of malfunctioning equipment to outside supplier and rental of temporary replacement equipment.
  • Participates in orientation meetings as needed to explain department functions and the materials and equipment available.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

Job Skills/Requirements/Qualifications

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Extremely proficient in computer systems used with multimedia productions.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
  • Ability to multitask and remain organized.
  • Ability to perform minor repairs to equipment.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills in a variety of situations.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate’s degree in Audiovisual Technology or related field preferred.
  • At least two years of experience in the operation of audiovisual and video electronics.
  • Successfully pass a pre-employment background investigation

Working conditions/Physical Requirements

  • Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working audiovisual equipment.
  • Excellent hearing and eyesight.
  • Must be able to stand for time periods up to 8 hours a day
  • Standing, walking and bending, reaching and kneeling for extended periods of time
  • Work irregular hours dictated by banquet business
  • Will be required to work weekends, evenings and holidays
  • Ability to work indoors or outdoors events
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds
  • Ability to lift 100+ pounds with assistance
  • Use of hands and arms to feel, handle, reach, and touch
  • May be subject to high noise levels
  • Work in a smoke-free and drug-free environment
  • Adhere to The Allison Inn & Spa grooming and appearance standards, or ability to adjust appearance accordingly
