We are currently looking for a Maintenance Supervisor. Under the direction of the plant general manager, the maintenance supervisor leads a team of mechanics and electromechanics responsible for carrying out preventive maintenance, servicing equipment in optimal conditions and in good working order.

- Supervises maintenance activities, organizes and distributes work according to the planned planning in Maximo (CMMS) and operations priorities and monitors progress;
- Ensures that preventive maintenance programs are conducted in accordance with maintenance plans, schedules and standards to minimize machine downtime.
- Ensures that work is carried out in accordance with good industrial practices and safety standards;
- Ensures health and safety within his/her sector of activity (behaviour, accident investigation, improvement, inspection and risk analysis) and takes the necessary actions;
- Organizes and distributes work according to operational planning and priorities and monitors progress;
- Communicates expectations and mobilizes employees to achieve objectives, manages employee performance;
- Maintains a positive work climate by motivating, stimulating and encouraging the employees under his/her responsibility to develop their skills and take initiative in the performance of their duties;
- Develops and manages the budget of his/her department in a rigorous manner;
- Regularly monitors budgets and takes corrective action to meet them.
- Respects the provisions and application of the collective agreement in force and maintains sound labour relations.
- Reduce downtime and improve equipment performance and collaborate with production to minimize interruptions.
- Participate in the management of maintenance parts and inventories.
- Train, mentor and evaluate maintenance employees.
- Diploma of College Studies DEC in Industrial Mechanics
- 5 to 7 years of experience in the maintenance of conventional and numerical control machinery
- Relevant experience in team management
- Use of a computer-aided active maintenance management system (CMMS)
- Principles in Lean manufacturing
- IT systems and ERP (Office, LN)
- Knowledge of OHS standards and good industry practices
- Good understanding of preventive maintenance programs
- Experience in a company that manufactures high-precision machined parts (asset)
- Knowledge of TPM (Total Productive Maintenance) (asset)
- Bilingual French and English
