This role involves providing hands-on technical support for advanced precision cooling and humidification systems used in critical environments. You will be responsible for installing, commissioning, servicing, and maintaining complex HVAC/R and control-integrated equipment at customer sites across different regions. The position requires strong technical aptitude, problem-solving skills, and the ability to interpret electrical schematics and system integrations. You will act as a key customer-facing expert, ensuring equipment reliability, performance, and compliance with quality standards. Working both independently and in coordination with service teams, you will manage field activities, documentation, and follow-ups while delivering high-quality customer service. This is a travel-heavy, technically engaging role ideal for someone who thrives in dynamic field environments and enjoys solving real-world engineering challenges.
- Provide factory-authorized field services including start-up, commissioning, preventive maintenance, diagnostics, break/fix support, and BMS interface integration.
- Deliver technical phone support when not actively assigned to field service work.
- Coordinate service activities with Field Service Coordinators and review technical documentation prior to site visits.
- Accurately document all service activities, submit reports promptly, and provide customer follow-up documentation after site visits.
- Identify and report quality, installation, or performance issues that may affect warranty or system operation.
- Maintain service vehicle inventory, tools, and parts to ensure readiness for field assignments.
- Support cost control by minimizing service and warranty-related expenses.
- Participate in product training sessions and ongoing technical development.
- Travel extensively and work overtime or off-hour assignments as required.
- High school diploma plus 1–2 years of trade school in HVAC/R or equivalent experience in the HVAC industry.
- Alternatively, 7+ years of relevant HVAC/R field experience or Journeyman/Master HVAC license.
- EPA Type II certification for refrigerant handling and reclamation.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
- OSHA 10 certification (or ability to obtain).
- Strong ability to read electrical schematics, technical manuals, and service instructions.
- Solid mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills, including HVAC/R systems and controls integration.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with customer-facing experience.
- Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division).
- Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs, climb ladders, work at heights, and perform physically demanding field tasks.
- Willingness to travel by air and work in varied environments, including office, manufacturing, and warehouse settings.
