This role offers an exciting opportunity to be the central hub of fleet maintenance operations, ensuring all equipment and vehicles are serviced efficiently and effectively. You will play a critical part in coordinating maintenance schedules, tracking repairs, and supporting teams with real-time information to maximize fleet uptime and operational productivity. The position requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and excellent communication, as you will interact with drivers, vendors, and internal teams daily. - Enter and maintain all maintenance records, purchase orders, and work orders in fleet management software accurately and on time.
- Serve as the first point of contact for drivers, vendors, and internal teams regarding vehicle breakdowns, parts orders, and fuel deliveries.
- Monitor and maintain parts and supply inventory, analyze vendor pricing, and suggest improvements for cost and efficiency.
- Ensure all fleet equipment is scheduled for preventative maintenance and repairs, coordinating backhaul pickups and other logistics as needed.
- Collaborate with management and other departments to identify operational issues and propose solutions to enhance shop efficiency.
- Keep management informed on all maintenance operations and status updates to support decision-making.
- High school diploma or GED, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- 1–3 months of related experience, with strong proficiency in data entry and use of computer software; experience with SAP preferred.
- Valid driver’s license with a driving record meeting company insurability standards.
- Strong PC skills, including Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and use of 10-key by touch.
- Excellent communication, listening, and organizational skills, with the ability to plan and prioritize tasks effectively.
- Ability to follow instructions, solve problems using common sense, and handle routine operational issues independently.
- Physical ability to lift/move up to 50 pounds and perform tasks requiring walking, sitting, standing, and manual dexterity.
