Enrolled in or recently graduated from a Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (CAAHEP) accredited Electroneurodiagnostic (END) Program or equivalent experience. BLS

To provide the basic technical skills necessary to perform one or more of the following electroneurodiagnostic procedures: electroencephalogram (EEG), intraoperative neuromonitoring (IONM), long term monitoring (LTM), evoked potential (EP), and nerve conduction studies (NCV).

JOB DESCRIPTION
To provide the basic technical skills necessary to perform one or more of the following electroneurodiagnostic procedures: electroencephalogram (EEG), intraoperative neuromonitoring (IONM), long term monitoring (LTM), evoked potential (EP), and nerve conduction studies (NCV).
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Performs electroneurodiagnostic studies according to written protocols.
- Explains procedures to patients and gathers medical history from patients and/or charts.
- Applies standard scalp electrodes using the 10/20 placement system.
- Adjusts test protocols based on patient history and study results, recognizing normal and abnormal variants.
- Identifies and corrects electrical and electronic malfunctions.
- Monitors and reviews raw study and video data during procedures.
- Prepares completed neurodiagnostic studies for interpretation.
- Completes the "Technician Impression" sheet, serving as a preliminary report.
- Edits and archives neurodiagnostic recordings.
- Competently performs routine inpatient and outpatient neurodiagnostic procedures.
- Sets up and assists with specialized neurodiagnostic procedures.
- Ensures patient safety, maintains privacy, and follows infection control protocols.
