ABOUT THE ROLE
Mission Advancement is seeking a Business Development Coordinator to provide sales, marketing, and project management support to help keep our business development efforts organized, consistent, and moving forward. This role is ideal for someone who is highly organized, detail-oriented, comfortable managing multiple moving pieces, and energized by helping others succeed.
The Business Development Coordinator supports the execution of Mission Advancement’s business development efforts, including sales support, marketing execution, prospect communications, campaign coordination, and internal systems management. This person helps ensure qualified leads are followed up with, campaigns are completed on time, prospect communications are coordinated, and business development processes are maintained.
This is an execution-focused role that requires strong project management, clear written communication, comfort with technology, and the ability to anticipate needs. This role reports to the Assistant Vice President of Business Development.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Manage business development campaigns, prospect nurturing, assignment-selling communications, and follow-up activities
- Coordinate the business development calendar, project timelines, conferences, deadlines, and follow-up
- Manage proposal and contract preparation processes
- Execute email campaigns, social media scheduling, and content distribution for the Mission Forward newsletter, conferences, and partnership initiatives
- Support podcast promotion, distribution, and Learning Hub content updates
- Support brand consistency and quality control across external communications
- Document and maintain business development processes, workflows, and systems
QUALIFICATIONS

REQUIRED SKILLS
- Strong project management and coordination skills
- Strong written communication skills
- Excellent attention to detail
- Ability to document processes and maintain organized systems
- Proficiency with Microsoft 365
- Comfort using AI tools such as ChatGPT, Claude, Copilot, or similar platforms
PREFERRED SKILLS
- HubSpot experience
- Canva experience
- Website content management experience
- Familiarity with podcast promotion or distribution
- Basic video editing experience
- Familiarity with StoryBrand or Endless Customer (They Ask, You Answer) methodology
WHAT SUCCESS LOOKS LIKE
Success in this role means business development activities are proactive, organized, and consistently executed. Leads are followed up with, campaigns are completed on time, content is distributed professionally, systems are maintained, and the business development team has greater capacity to focus on relationship development, sales conversations, and organizational growth.
The Business Development Coordinator will play an important role in helping Mission Advancement strengthen its sales processes, expand its thought leadership, and support long-term growth through consistent execution.
The pay range for this role is:
50,000 - 70,000 USD per year(McKinney, TX)
