Position Title: Junior Software Developer
Junior Software Developer Overview
As a Junior Software Developer, you will support the design, development, testing, deployment, and maintenance of enterprise software applications. Working alongside senior developers and technical leads, you will contribute to the full software development lifecycle while gaining hands-on experience with modern development frameworks, cloud technologies, and DevSecOps practices.
The ideal candidate is a motivated software developer with a strong technical foundation, a willingness to learn, and a passion for building high-quality software solutions. This role offers the opportunity to work on enterprise applications that support business processes, workflows, analytics, and reporting capabilities for federal customers while expanding your knowledge of cloud-native development and Agile methodologies.
All applicants must reside in DC, Maryland, or Virginia and be able to work onsite in Washington, DC.
Responsibilities-
Develop, test, debug, and maintain enterprise software applications under the guidance of senior developers and technical leads.

Assist with the development of front-end and back-end components, RESTful APIs, and application integrations using modern development frameworks.

Participate in Agile ceremonies, code reviews, sprint planning, and technical discussions while following established coding standards and best practices.

Support application deployments, troubleshooting, production support, and continuous improvement activities using Azure DevOps and CI/CD pipelines.

Collaborate with Business Analysts, Product Owners, UX designers, and cross-functional teams to implement business and technical requirements.

Develop secure, scalable, and maintainable code while adhering to organizational security policies and DevSecOps principles.

Continuously expand technical knowledge by learning new technologies, cloud services, and software development best practices.

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, or a related technical field (or equivalent experience).

2 (two) or more years of professional software development experience or relevant internships developing enterprise or web-based applications.

Experience developing applications using C#/.NET, Java, or similar object-oriented programming languages, along with JavaScript frameworks such as React or Angular.

Experience working with Microsoft Azure and Azure DevOps, including source control, work item tracking, and CI/CD pipelines.

Experience developing RESTful APIs and working with relational databases such as SQL Server or PostgreSQL.

Familiarity with Agile/Scrum development methodologies, software development best practices, and secure coding principles.

Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills.

Experience with ASP.NET Core, Spring Boot, or similar modern application frameworks.

Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, or other containerization technologies.

Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform or Bicep.

Experience with scripting languages such as PowerShell, Python, or Bash.

Experience supporting federal government or other regulated environments.

A minimum of an active DoD Secret security clearance is required.
