Accountabilities:

As the primary contractor point of contact, you will lead program execution, coordinate delivery across workstreams, and ensure alignment with government stakeholders, contractual requirements, and federal healthcare priorities.

  • Lead overall contract performance and delivery coordination across multiple task areas and concurrent initiatives.
  • Manage iterative sprint planning, backlog prioritization, resource allocation, milestones, and deliverables to ensure timely and high-quality execution.
  • Build and maintain collaborative relationships with healthcare program offices, enterprise data teams, and interagency partners.
  • Provide technically informed oversight across enterprise analytics environments and cloud-hosted data platforms.
  • Apply knowledge of health informatics, clinical data standards, enterprise data systems, and federal healthcare environments to guide solution design, quality assurance, and risk mitigation.
  • Develop operational reports, program status updates, performance metrics, and executive-level briefings for government stakeholders.
  • Establish and enforce program governance practices covering change management, issue escalation, compliance, and delivery controls.
  • Ensure program activities align with federal IT, data security, privacy, governance, and contractual requirements.
  • Coordinate concurrent pilot and innovation initiatives, working across technical teams, program offices, and external stakeholders to support successful execution.

Requirements:

The ideal candidate is a seasoned program leader with extensive experience managing complex, multi-workstream initiatives in federal healthcare, enterprise analytics, or information technology environments. Strong technical understanding, executive communication, and the ability to operate effectively across matrixed organizations are essential.

  • 15+ years of progressive experience in program management, enterprise analytics, information technology, or federal healthcare environments.
  • Demonstrated success leading large-scale, multi-workstream programs from inception through delivery.
  • Master's degree in health informatics, public health, information management, or a related field; 6 additional years of relevant experience may substitute for the degree requirement in accordance with contract terms.
  • Prior experience supporting the Department of Veterans Affairs, Veterans Health Administration, or a comparable large-scale federal healthcare agency as a contractor or government employee.
  • Familiarity with federal health IT governance frameworks, enterprise data systems, healthcare program offices, and data governance requirements.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a VA Position of Public Trust suitability clearance and comply with applicable information security, privacy, and Rules of Behavior requirements.
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States; visa sponsorship is not available.
  • Demonstrated experience with Agile or iterative sprint planning and backlog management within a federal program environment.
  • Strong executive communication skills and experience preparing formal contract deliverables, operational reports, and government-facing briefings.
  • PMP certification or an equivalent program management credential is strongly preferred.
  • Active informatics certification or professional membership through organizations such as AHIMA or AMIA is preferred, including credentials such as RHIA or CHDA.
  • 10+ years of experience specifically managing programs involving enterprise analytics, cloud-hosted data platforms, or federal healthcare IT is highly desirable.
  • Familiarity with VA data ecosystems such as VA Lighthouse APIs, Corporate Data Warehouse, or VA Enterprise Data Warehouse is a strong advantage.
