Front Counter Equipment Rental Representative (Rentco's Tool Shed) in Grande Prairie, Alberta at Rentco Equipment Ltd.

Rentco's Tool Shed (a division of Rentco Equipment Ltd.) is a local company that has been servicing Grande Prairie and the Peace Country for over 60 years. They provide the tools and equipment to complete home-owner repairs and maintenance. Rentco's Tool Shed is also a "go-to" place in Grande Prairie for event rentals, permanent holiday lighting, and Stihl and Husqvarna tools.

We are currently hiring a full-time Front Counter Equipment Rental Representative.

As the Front Counter Equipment Rental Representative, you are responsible for:

• Assisting customers in-store and over the phone by providing information about our equipment and stock
• Processing customer rentals and purchases
• Maintaining a high level of product and service knowledge
• Participating in merchandizing and promotional activities
• Preparing detailed invoices and customer statements
• Creating work orders for damaged or deficient equipment
• Verifying received shipments by checking order against shipping documents and notify Manager of any discrepancies and omissions
• Keeping shelf selection areas stocked and clean and orderly

You have the following skills and abilities:

• Previous experience in the retail industry or proven knowledge of yard and home maintenance equipment
• Ability to work Monday to Friday from either 8-5 or 9-6 and on a Saturday rotation with increased hours, including Sundays during the spring and summer
• Excellent customer skills
• Excellent time management and problem-solving skills
• Intermediate computer skills, including programs Microsoft Excel and Outlook, and the ability to learn our internal software
