Senior Consultant, Financial Services Practice Management

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Senior Consultant, Financial Services Practice Management based in United States.

This role combines financial services consulting, enterprise strategy, program design, and executive engagement within a fast-growing technology environment.
You will partner with leadership at large RIAs, broker-dealers, banks, and insurance organizations to improve advisor and producer practices.
The role focuses on designing scalable adoption programs, best-practice content, learning paths, and strategic roadmaps that drive measurable organizational outcomes.
You will translate complex operational, technology, and practice-management challenges into practical solutions that can scale across large audiences.
As a trusted advisor and subject-matter expert, you will facilitate executive discussions, lead workshops, and represent the organization at industry events.
You will also serve as an important voice for enterprise customers, bringing insights and product needs back to internal Product and cross-functional teams.
This is a remote opportunity with periodic travel and significant autonomy for a consultant who thrives in an entrepreneurial, collaborative, and evolving environment.

Accountabilities:
  • Partner with home office, branch, and regional leadership at large RIAs, broker-dealers, banks, and insurance organizations to align practice management initiatives with strategic business priorities.
  • Serve as a trusted practice management consultant, helping enterprise clients address objectives such as organic growth, advisor adoption, retention, and operational effectiveness.
  • Design multi-phase rollout and success strategies for large organizations, determining priority advisor or producer segments and defining measurable organizational outcomes.
  • Act as the voice of enterprise customers to internal Product teams, identifying important feature needs, recurring challenges, and opportunities for product improvement.
  • Design scalable “one-to-many” enablement programs with enterprise leaders, including advisor programs, webinars, best-practice content, and other educational resources.
  • Own the development of thought leadership and practice management materials, including best-practice playbooks and other high-value assets.
  • Define learning paths and maturity models tailored to different advisor, producer, and organizational personas.
  • Lead discovery workshops with stakeholders to understand workflows, technology environments, staffing challenges, and operational inefficiencies.
  • Develop scalable recommendations that connect business objectives with practical changes to processes, technology, and adoption.
  • Facilitate live and virtual practice management sessions tailored to the needs of individual firms and their advisor or producer populations.
  • Represent the practice management function at industry conferences and firm-hosted events, delivering presentations on practice management and AI adoption.
  • Travel periodically to meet clients and participate in industry conferences, typically around twice per month, with heavier travel during spring and fall conference seasons.
  • Develop and maintain strategic relationships across the financial services ecosystem while identifying opportunities to expand engagement and impact.
  • Collaborate across internal teams to execute strategic initiatives, create firm-wide programs, and continuously improve client engagements.
  • Communicate complex data, operational insights, and technical concepts through clear executive-level storytelling while remaining comfortable working deeply in the details when needed.
Requirements
  • 3–5+ years of experience within an RIA, broker-dealer, bank, or insurance organization, with demonstrated understanding of complex financial services workflows and end-to-end client lifecycles.
  • Deep familiarity with scalable client processes, advisory-focused practice models, and the operational realities of financial advisors or producers.
  • Proven program management experience, including building adoption programs, launching initiatives for high-volume audiences, and continuously improving existing engagements.
  • Strong consultative skills, with experience leading discovery workshops, diagnosing operational inefficiencies, and developing scalable solutions with stakeholders.
  • Exceptional strategic storytelling abilities, with the capacity to transform complex data, technical concepts, and operational challenges into clear narratives that drive action.
  • Familiarity with the compliance, security, integration, CRM, and wealth management technology requirements of large financial institutions.
  • Experience working with CRM platforms in a banking or financial services environment.
  • Strong data analysis capabilities, including the ability to identify patterns and translate findings into actionable recommendations.
  • Confidence and executive presence when presenting to senior stakeholders and larger audiences.
  • Strong ownership mindset, with the ability to operate independently, make decisions, and course-correct without waiting for detailed instructions.
  • Process-oriented approach combined with comfort operating in ambiguous environments where the roadmap is still evolving.
  • Ability to work core hours aligned with Mountain, Central, or Eastern time zones, reflecting the concentration of client organizations in those regions.
  • Excellent communication, relationship-building, facilitation, and collaboration skills.
  • Prior experience in a startup or high-growth environment is a plus.
  • PMP or another relevant professional certification is advantageous.
  • Fluency with wealth management technology platforms and advanced data analysis is a plus.
Benefits
  • $150,000–$170,000 base salary.
  • Equity participation, giving employees an opportunity to share in the growth they help create.
  • Fully remote position, with hiring currently limited to candidates residing in AZ, CA, CO, CT, FL, GA, ID, IL, IA, KS, MA, MI, NE, NJ, NV, NY, NC, OH, PA, SC, TN, TX, WA, or WI.

  • Dental coverage with 99% of the premium covered and a $1,500 annual benefit.
  • Vision coverage with 99% of the premium covered and a $150 frames and contacts allowance.
  • FSA with dollar-for-dollar matching up to $500 per year.
  • Unlimited PTO, paid sick time, and 11 paid holidays.
  • 12 weeks of fully paid parental leave for birthing parents.
  • 6 weeks of fully paid parental leave for non-birthing parents.
  • 401(k) plan through Guideline with pre-tax and Roth options and low-cost Vanguard funds.
  • MacBook laptop and access to Google Workspace, Slack, and Zoom.
  • Growth opportunities for high performers after six months.
  • Collaborative, low-ego environment with an emphasis on smart, curious, and supportive teamwork.
  • Opportunity to work directly with senior financial services leaders and influence how large organizations adopt new approaches to practice management and AI.
  • Regular exposure to industry conferences, client leadership teams, strategic programs, and high-impact initiatives.
  • Background and reference checks are required as part of onboarding.
