This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Director, Enterprise Data Management based in the United States.
This is a high-impact leadership role focused on building a scalable, trusted, and business-driven enterprise data ecosystem.
You will shape data strategy, governance, master data management, analytics, and reporting across a complex organization.
The role combines strategic leadership with hands-on oversight of data platforms, standards, processes, and teams.
You will establish a single, reliable view of customers, products, contracts, and business performance to enable better decision-making.
Working closely with Finance, Sales, Operations, Product, Customer Experience, Security, Legal, and Technology teams, you will drive enterprise-wide alignment.
You will lead multidisciplinary data professionals while modernizing data infrastructure, improving quality, and strengthening governance.

- Establish and lead enterprise-wide data governance programs, standards, stewardship practices, scorecards, and controls.
- Define and manage master data domains, initially focusing on customer, product, and contract information.
- Partner with business leaders to improve data quality, consistency, ownership, and accountability across the organization.
- Define systems of record, data ownership, enterprise identifiers, and standards across applications and business platforms.
- Establish data integration practices that improve data flow, lineage, transparency, and consistency.
- Lead initiatives to simplify and standardize data across ERP, CRM, and other enterprise applications.
- Own the strategy and governance of the enterprise data warehouse, including data sourcing, certification, and quality standards.
- Develop and maintain trusted enterprise metrics, reporting definitions, and business intelligence frameworks.
- Implement monitoring and controls to identify and resolve data discrepancies before they affect business reporting and decision-making.
- Improve the efficiency, consistency, and scalability of analytics and reporting delivery.
- Lead, mentor, and develop a multidisciplinary team of data engineers, analysts, and data governance professionals.
- Establish delivery processes and roadmaps that balance operational support with strategic data initiatives and measurable business outcomes.
- Manage vendor relationships, data platform investments, and technology costs.
- Partner with Information Security and Legal teams to address privacy, regulatory, contractual, classification, retention, and data protection requirements.
- Promote secure, responsible, and compliant data management practices throughout the organization.
- Drive organizational change and cross-functional alignment as the enterprise modernizes its systems and data ecosystem.
Requirements:
- 12+ years of progressive experience in enterprise data management, analytics, business applications, data engineering, or a closely related field.
- Demonstrated experience leading multidisciplinary teams spanning data engineering, analytics, and data governance.
- Proven success implementing and operationalizing enterprise data governance and master data management programs.
- Strong experience working within integrated ERP, CRM, and enterprise application environments.
- Experience leading cloud-based data platforms, enterprise data warehouses, business intelligence solutions, and reporting programs.
- Ability to communicate effectively with executive stakeholders, business leaders, and technical teams.
- Strong track record of influencing stakeholders, leading organizational change, and building alignment across multiple business functions.
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Data Analytics, Business, or a related discipline; a Master’s degree is preferred.
- Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365, Salesforce, ServiceNow, Azure, Databricks, or comparable enterprise platforms is an advantage.
- Experience working in private equity-backed, highly regulated, reporting-intensive, or operationally complex organizations is beneficial.
- Background in telecommunications, network services, public safety, SaaS, or similar complex environments is a plus.
- Strong strategic thinking, leadership, communication, stakeholder management, and organizational change skills.
- Ability to balance long-term data strategy with operational execution and measurable business outcomes.
- Willingness and ability to travel approximately 10% or as needed.
