About the role

The Sr. Manager, Marketing Operations & Digital Platforms is responsible for the technical execution, operational management, and optimization of the organization's direct-to-patient (DTP) marketing ecosystem. This role ensures digital marketing campaigns, websites, marketing technologies, analytics, lead routing, CRM integrations, provider tools, and vendor platforms operate efficiently to support patient acquisition and business growth.

Reporting to the Sr. Director of Patient Acquisition, this position serves as the operational bridge between Marketing, IT, Sales Operations, Patient Navigation, Compliance, external agencies, and technology vendors. This individual is both a strategic problem solver and hands-on executor who thrives managing complex marketing systems while continuously improving processes, reporting, and digital experiences.

What you'll do

  • Lead the day-to-day operation, governance, and optimization of the DTP/DTC marketing technology ecosystem, establishing scalable workflows, documentation, SOPs, and operating standards.
  • Own patient-facing digital properties, including corporate websites, landing pages, campaign microsites, provider locator tools, forms, tracking implementations, and nurture journeys; oversee QA, accessibility, SEO, performance, enhancements, and issue resolution.
  • Serve as senior business owner for key marketing technology platforms, including Google Tag Manager, analytics, CRM integrations, lead-routing systems, call tracking, marketing automation, survey platforms, and emerging AI/chatbot technologies.
  • Lead end-to-end patient lead operations, including lead capture, routing, CRM integrations, workflow automation, form testing, call tracking, data quality, reporting accuracy, and resolution of lead-flow issues.
  • Translate business requirements into technical specifications and lead cross-functional implementation from requirements through launch, managing timelines, dependencies, risks, testing, and post-launch optimization.
  • Partner with Patient Navigation, Sales, Commercial Operations, IT, Regulatory, Legal, and Marketing to improve patient journeys, lead handoffs, data visibility, and operational effectiveness.
  • Manage digital agencies, media agencies, analytics partners, and technology vendors, including deliverables, SLAs, issue resolution, platform upgrades, performance, invoice validation, and budget stewardship as appropriate.
  • Develop and improve measurement frameworks, tagging, dashboards, and reporting processes to ensure reliable campaign, funnel, and platform performance insights.
  • Evaluate emerging technologies and recommend platform, automation, AI, and process improvements that increase scalability, efficiency, data quality, compliance, and user experience.
  • Provide leadership and subject-matter expertise for marketing operations and digital platforms, proactively identifying risks and opportunities and influencing stakeholders across the organization.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, Information Systems, Digital Media, Analytics, or a related field; equivalent relevant experience may be considered.
  • 7+ years of progressive experience in marketing operations, digital marketing operations, marketing technology, digital platforms, web operations, or a related function, including ownership of complex platforms or programs.
  • Hands-on experience with websites/landing pages, forms, analytics and tagging, marketing technology platforms, CRM integrations, lead routing, marketing automation, and digital measurement.
  • Experience leading complex cross-functional projects involving multiple stakeholders, technical dependencies, vendors, and deadlines.
  • Experience managing external agencies and/or technology vendors and driving technical or operational issues through resolution.
  • Strong project management, process improvement, documentation, and stakeholder communication skills.
  • Strategic systems thinker who can connect patient acquisition goals to technology, process, data, and execution.
  • Strong technical aptitude and curiosity; comfortable learning new platforms, troubleshooting complex issues, and partnering with technical teams.
  • Excellent project and program management skills with the ability to prioritize competing demands and maintain accountability across stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; able to identify root causes, evaluate tradeoffs, and implement scalable solutions.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to translate technical concepts for non-technical audiences and business needs for technical partners.
  • High attention to detail with strong documentation, QA, governance, and process discipline.
  • Collaborative and influential; able to build trust and drive alignment across Marketing, Commercial, IT, Compliance, Legal, and external partners.
  • Comfortable operating in a fast-paced, evolving environment with ambiguity and changing priorities.
  • Strong patient/customer orientation and appreciation for the impact digital experiences have across the patient journey.
  • Sound judgment when working with sensitive data, regulated processes, privacy requirements, and compliance considerations.
