Maintenance Apprentice

Summary:
Responsible for maintenance of Toshiba, Plasdan and Presma machines.
Primary Responsibilities:
Primary Duties:
- Assist the maintenance technician during trouble shooting and repairs to learn the equipment in the department
- Learn and perform PM’s on the equipment
- Work on mechanical systems only until completing Arc-Flash training
- Fabrication, machine and welding as required once training has been received
Other:
- Other duties as assigned.

- Maintain a clean and safe working environment in the facility through good housekeeping practices.
- Follow all safety and OSHA guidelines.
Knowledge and Skill Requirements:
- Degree and/or certificate in college or vocational school with focus on mechanical or electrical field preferred
- Knowledge of PLC’s, AS and DC drives automated machinery a plus
- Experience using fabrication workshop equipment a plus (ex. lathe, mill, drill press, bandsaw)
- Use of a broad range of hand tools to perform maintenance work on production machines and related equipment a plus
- Communicate effectively
- Sense of urgency

Working Conditions:
Working conditions are normal for a manufacturing environment. Requires the use of safety equipment that may include but not limited to: eye safety glasses, hearing protection, and hardhats. Jewelry is not permitted.

Shifts available dependent on current openings based on production needs :
Day shift M-F 6:00am-6:00pm
Night shift Su-Th 6:00pm-6:00am with 15% shift premium
