Job Description

Senior Solution Architect

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Senior Solution Architect based in India.

This is a senior, globally focused opportunity for an experienced maintenance and SAP EAM professional who wants to shape the future of industrial maintenance. You will translate real-world plant processes into scalable mobile, digital, and AI-enabled solutions. The role combines onsite discovery, process consulting, solution architecture, value engineering, and strategic customer engagement. You will work directly with maintenance, reliability, IT, and operations leaders across major industrial environments. You will also strengthen existing implementations by identifying opportunities to improve adoption, digitize additional workflows, and unlock further value. With global travel and significant ownership of solution design, this role offers the chance to influence how complex industrial organizations modernize maintenance operations.

Accountabilities
  • Lead end-to-end solution design for enterprise maintenance environments, defining how mobile, digital, and AI capabilities transform existing workflows.
  • Conduct onsite discovery sessions, assessments, workshops, and gap analyses with maintenance, reliability, operations, and IT stakeholders.
  • Map current maintenance and repair processes and define detailed future-state workflows, including work order execution, notifications, confirmations, time and materials, measurements, parts handling, and offline field operations.
  • Define how AI-enabled capabilities can automate manual steps, capture information at the point of work, and improve the use of maintenance data.
  • Act as the design authority for SAP PM integration, master data structures, mobile configurations, security roles, and user access.
  • Translate solution designs into clear implementation plans that functional consultants can execute.
  • Review deployed solutions across existing customer accounts to determine whether the design continues to reflect actual operational requirements.
  • Develop structured action plans distinguishing design improvements from configuration, data, and training requirements, with clear ownership, sequencing, and effort estimates.
  • Identify additional processes, sites, and capabilities that could benefit from digital transformation and build expansion cases around measurable operational value.
  • Quantify and communicate business value using maintenance KPIs such as wrench time, schedule compliance, backlog health, PM/PdM completion, MTBF, and MTTR.
  • Coach functional consultants on maintenance processes, solution design principles, and architectural decision-making.
  • Support sales teams with technical discovery, solution scoping, customer presentations, and strategic solution discussions.
  • Build trusted relationships with senior operations and IT stakeholders and confidently communicate technical recommendations to both executive audiences and frontline maintenance teams.
Requirements:
  • 3+ years of hands-on experience as a maintenance or reliability technician, craft supervisor, MRO lead, or similar role within a refinery, plant, mill, mine, or other industrial environment.
  • 5+ years of experience in SAP PM or EAM implementation consulting, including ownership of solution design, onsite process assessments, and gap analysis.
  • Demonstrated experience transitioning industrial sites from paper-based work orders to mobile maintenance execution.
  • Proven ability to assess live customer environments, identify gaps between deployed solutions and operational reality, and develop actionable plans for implementation teams.
  • Strong practical understanding of maintenance and repair operations, including notification intake, work order management, confirmations, parts management, and closeout data quality.
  • Experience presenting quantified business cases to operations and IT executives while also being comfortable discussing process changes directly with frontline teams.
  • Experience defining security roles and access requirements for maintenance and enterprise systems.
  • Working knowledge of AI technologies relevant to industrial maintenance, including large language models, retrieval over technical documentation, agentic automation, and predictive models.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and hands-on maintenance experience.
  • Strong communication, facilitation, analytical, and stakeholder-management skills.
  • Willingness to travel up to 50%, primarily across North America, with travel to EMEA and APAC as customer requirements dictate.
  • Ability to satisfy plant, refinery, mine, and other industrial site safety and access requirements.
  • CMRP, CRL, or equivalent maintenance and reliability certification is preferred.
  • Experience with SAP S/4HANA Asset Management and SAP integration patterns involving PO, ECC, and APIs is advantageous.
  • Knowledge of maintenance KPI frameworks, including backlog health, schedule compliance, PM/PdM completion, MTBF, and MTTR, is preferred.
  • Hands-on experience with AI tooling such as LLM-based assistants, retrieval systems for equipment and procedure documentation, or predictive models is a plus.
  • Experience mentoring technicians, planners, consultants, or other technical professionals is beneficial.
  • Working proficiency in Spanish or Portuguese is advantageous.
Benefits:
  • Full-time, remote position with a globally distributed working environment.
  • Opportunity to work with major asset-intensive industrial organizations across multiple regions.
  • Significant ownership and visibility in a senior solution architecture role.
  • Exposure to advanced mobile, SAP EAM, AI, and industrial digital transformation technologies.
  • Opportunities to influence maintenance strategy and measurable operational outcomes at customer sites.
  • Global travel opportunities, with travel of up to 50% depending on account requirements.
  • Professional development and opportunities to expand expertise across maintenance, SAP, solution architecture, and AI-enabled operations.
  • Direct interaction with senior operations and IT leadership as well as frontline industrial teams.
  • Inclusive workplace with accessibility support for people with disabilities.
  • A structured recruitment process progressing through registration, interviews, manager interview, final interview, offer, and hiring stages.
