The Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering (ECE) at Villanova University invites applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professor position in Electrical Engineering starting in August 2027. Exceptional candidates at higher ranks may also be considered. Candidates with a proven record of research and publications are sought in the broad areas of Electromagnetics and Antennas, with particular emphasis on modern wireless communications and radar systems and applications.

The ECE Department hosts established state-of-the art laboratories in Antennas, Microwaves, Radar, and Wireless Communications, which support innovative and cutting-edge research in microwave and mm-wave communications, radar, and sensing technologies. The antenna measurement facilities include a large compact-range anechoic chamber capable of accurate pattern and gain measurements from 2 GHz to 75 GHz and a near-field test chamber for the frequency range of 750 MHz -12 GHz.

The University is strongly rooted in a sense of community, and the ECE Department and the College of Engineering are deeply committed to work-life balance. In addition, the University has also established the Center for Faculty Leadership and Success (CFLS), focused on developing and expanding research-informed leadership development offerings for rising and mid-level academic leaders.
