About Zentech Manufacturing

Zentech is one of the leading and most highly certified U.S.-based Electronics Manufacturing Services (EMS) providers in North America. We support original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) of medical devices, aerospace and defense products, and industrial equipment with engineering and manufacturing solutions spanning product design, printed circuit board layout, test development, and manufacturing support through the entire product lifecycle.

Our work is unseen but vital, including support for domestic and foreign military customers who rely on our technical expertise to keep warfighters safe and the nation's networks secure. Zentech has built deep strengths in manufacturing high-reliability, high-complexity, low-to-medium-volume printed circuit boards and box builds, with best-in-class scalability to higher-volume production. Proudly Made in America, our team works together every day in support of the country's lives and liberties.

The Role

The Controller manages the site's financial activities, including accounting, budgeting, financial reporting, and compliance. This role calls for a strategic thinker with strong analytical skills and the ability to effectively lead and influence a team. Reporting to the CFO, the Controller ensures financial reporting meets required standards in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP).

What You'll Do

  • Prepare and publish timely monthly reporting and forecasted financial statements
  • Support month-end and year-end close processes
  • Ensure quality control over financial transactions and financial reporting
  • Manage compliance with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings
  • Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain strong internal controls
  • Provide management with analytical support in financial aspects of business planning, including headcount projections and capital equipment planning
  • Interpret the division's financial planning, forecasting, and measurement requirements
  • Review sales, cost, income, bookings, backlog, headcount, material, and other related data
  • Analyze operational metrics — including MRB, labor utilization, excess and obsolete inventory, and material variances — to identify opportunities to enhance financial performance
  • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and translate data into actionable insights
  • Partner with management to establish budget and cash flow forecasts
  • Lead by example, fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement

What We're Looking For

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
  • CPA or CMA preferred, though not required
  • 5+ years of relevant experience; manufacturing experience preferred
  • Thorough knowledge of accounting principles and procedures
  • Experience preparing financial statements
  • Experience with general ledger functions and the month-end/year-end close process
  • Proficiency with accounting software, including system administration
  • Strong leadership and team management skills
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • High attention to detail and accuracy
