Job Summary:
The Senior Brand Growth & Innovation Manager is responsible for defining and executing brand and product innovation strategies, leading go-to-market initiatives, and partnering with cross-functional teams to drive growth and operational excellence. This role reports to the President/COO and collaborates closely with the Chief Sales & Marketing Officer. This role partners with the CEO to champion innovation and sustainable brand growth for both Malibu C and our contract manufacturing division.

Duties/Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with the CEO to define and execute product innovation strategies that keep Malibu Wellness at the forefront of industry trends, honoring our legacy of scientific excellence.
- Work with the President/COO and Chief Sales & Marketing Officer to align brand and commercial initiatives with overall sales objectives.
- Lead go-to-market strategies for new product launches, collaborating with marketing, sales, and education teams to maximize visibility and adoption across owned brands and contract manufacturing partners.
- Lead the development and implementation of new products, ensuring unified brand messaging and successful product launches.
- Conduct market research and analyze trends to uncover new growth opportunities, inform the future direction of the brand, and identify opportunities for product and brand differentiation.
- Partner with Sales, Marketing, R&D, Purchasing, and Operations teams to ensure efficient product lifecycle management, inventory optimization, and supply chain coordination to move products smoothly from concept to market launch.
- Develop and deliver 6-8 innovative white-label products annually to ensure a strong pipeline of market-ready offerings for owned brands, contract manufacturing clients, and requested projects.
- Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with distributors, partners, and contract manufacturing clients to drive long-term revenue growth, increase consumer engagement, and expand distribution across both Malibu C and contract manufacturing clients.
- Oversee the development and launch of more than 60 new products annually. Manage products from concept to shelf, including, but not limited to: developing timelines, coordinating with R&D on formulas, coordinating with Purchasing on sourcing packaging, and working cross-functionally with all departments to complete the development of new products.
- Provide supporting safety, compliance and environmental regulation compliance as needed.
- Uphold the organization’s positive culture while emphasizing timeliness, professionalism, multitasking, and clear communication.
- Coordinate buyouts of discontinued items with contract manufacturing customers.
- Upon the discontinuation of an item, work with necessary team members to assure the inventory is updated/disposed of and the product is marked in-active in the ERP system.
- Provide the sales team suggested bids for new projects, including fill-only and turnkey products.
- Analyze monthly inventory sales reports from the company’s ERP system to manage product lifecycles and forecasts.
- Monitor margin spreadsheets and suggest price adjustments to the sales department to maintain margin expectations of the company.
- Measure and analyze the success of launches and campaigns, leveraging data to refine strategy and maximize ROI, managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment, consistently meeting critical deadlines.
- Conduct in person sales meetings and training with sales consultants to drive engagement, support product launches, and grow sales across owned brands and contract manufacturing.
- Partner with Education team to coordinate and execute sales events, training, and customer lunches, ensuring seamless delivery and strong customer engagement.
- Collaborate with R&D team to ensure products reflect market trends, consumer insights, and innovative ingredient technologies.
- Complete new item set up documents as needed for contract manufacturing partners.
- Work in conjunction with the appropriate team members to complete internal New Item Set-Up forms as needed for any division, choosing item numbers as necessary, and submitting them to the appropriate team members for set-up.
- Initiate and/or update standard operating procedures for the Product Development department in conjunction with other team members, to ensure that all current procedures of the department are documented as fully as possible.
- Participate in R & D activities upon request of President/COO or Executive R&D Manager.
- Participate in yearly budgeting process.
- Attend and participate in scheduled huddle.
- Participate in goal setting and performance evaluation with supervisor.

Required Skills/Abilities:
- A proven track record of developing and executing brand storytelling, go-to-market strategies, and customer engagement that generate measurable revenue growth.
- Strong executive presence with direct experience working alongside C-suite leadership.
- Capability to lead consumer brand initiatives as well as B2B contract manufacturing partnerships.
- Exceptional leadership, communication, and relationship-building abilities.
- Expertise in data-driven decision-making and a solid understanding of market and consumer insights.
- Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and supervise direct reports.
- Willing and able to travel for in-person sales meetings as needed.
- Proficient in Microsoft, including Excel, Outlook, and Word.
- Must be fluent in speaking, reading, and writing English.
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree preferred but not required.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in brand management, marketing leadership, or sales strategy, preferably within the consumer-packaged goods, beauty, or personal care industries.
Physical Requirements:
- Repetitive hand and finger movements while operating a computer keyboard and mouse.
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Ability to hear and understand verbal communication.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at times.
- Ability to travel as needed for sales meetings and events.
Work Environment:
- Work is primarily performed in an office setting with occasional travel.
- Overhead fluorescent lighting.
