Role Overview:
The Director, Engineering - Sales Applications is responsible for the strategic leadership, execution, and operational oversight of enterprise applications supporting Hyundai and Kia Dealer Portals, consumer-facing websites, Warranty systems, Parts systems, and other critical Sales and Aftersales platforms. This leader serves as the primary technology partner to business stakeholders across Sales, Marketing, Dealer Operations, Warranty, Parts, Digital, and Aftersales organizations.
The role is accountable for application portfolio management, digital transformation initiatives, technology governance, service delivery, vendor management, and budget oversight. The Director will establish technology standards, drive modernization efforts, and ensure the delivery of scalable, secure, and reliable solutions that enhance customer engagement, dealer experiences, and operational efficiency while aligning with Hyundai Motor Group's global technology vision.

- Lead strategy, delivery, and support for Dealer Portals, consumer websites, Warranty, Parts, and Sales applications.
- Develop application roadmaps aligned with business objectives and global technology strategy.
- Partner with business leaders to prioritize investments and drive digital transformation initiatives.
- Manage stakeholder relationships across Sales, Aftersales, Marketing, Dealer Operations, Warranty, Parts, and Digital functions.
- Oversee application portfolio performance, security, scalability, compliance, and service delivery.
- Establish technology, governance, standards, and development best practices.
- Lead application modernization, integration, and enterprise technology initiatives.
- Drive operational excellence through KPI management and continuous improvement.
- Resolve critical business and application issues impacting dealers, customers, and operations.
- Lead organizational planning, talent development, and team performance.
- Manage vendors, strategic partnerships, contracts, and service providers.
- Own departmental budgets, resource planning, and financial performance.
- Collaborate with Headquarters and global teams to ensure alignment and execution of enterprise initiatives.
- Oversee application lifecycle management, including enhancements, upgrades, and innovation efforts.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Business Administration, or related field.
- 15+ years of enterprise application and digital platform experience with 12+ years in IT leadership roles.
- Experience supporting Dealer Portals, customer-facing websites, Warranty, Parts, and Sales applications.
- Technical leadership experience across Java development, SAP S/4HANA, SAP development, and Salesforce development.
- Experience leading organizations utilizing AI-enabled SDLC practices, AWS/cloud technologies, and DevOps methodologies.
- Proven success leading application modernization, digital transformation, and enterprise technology initiatives.
- Experience managing application portfolios, vendors, and multimillion-dollar budgets.
- Strong governance, service delivery, stakeholder management, and communication skills.
- Knowledge of application security, compliance, and operational best practices.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Business Administration, or related discipline.
- Automotive industry experience supporting OEM, dealer, warranty, parts, or retail sales environments.
- Experience leading digital transformation and application modernization initiatives.
- Program and portfolio management certifications or equivalent experience.
- Experience supporting large-scale customer-facing web platforms and dealer ecosystem solutions.
