Breakfast Attendant – Clubhouse Signature Restaurant

SUMMARY

Spanish Peaks is a private community situated on 3,500 acres nestled at 7,700 feet in stunning Big Sky, Montana. We are about 50 miles away from Bozeman, Belgrade, and West Yellowstone, MT.


The Breakfast Attendant role is responsible for the preparation and service of beverages and food items to guests. In addition to responsibilities in the restaurant, this position is also responsible for preparing, working, and resetting private and club events when necessary. This role will contribute to the organization as an active associate that is responsible for supporting the members and guests, company's goals, objectives, vision, mission, and values.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Job duties include but are not limited to:

  • Set up and maintain the cleanliness of the breakfast food and beverage items
  • Provide guests with professional, friendly, and timely service.
  • Anticipate the members’ and guests’ needs and responding appropriately with a sense of urgency
  • Maintain high level of cleanliness of the coffee equipment, counter space, and prep areas
  • Prepare all specialty coffee and tea drinks to the specified standards
  • Participate in ongoing service training of standards.
  • Ensure all mise-en-place items needed are ready for each shift
  • Responsible for polishing silverware/glassware.
  • Assist in breaking down and cleaning up the breakfast and beverage area so the property remains clean and ready for the next services.
  • Restock necessary items in preparation of the next day’s service
  • Set up events according to event specifications, including buffets, tables, chairs, linens, place settings, and decorations.
  • Assist with buffet setup, replenishment, and breakdown as needed.
  • Work closely with event manager, restaurant manager, and kitchen staff to ensure smooth event execution.
  • Clean and reset event spaces at the conclusion of the event
  • Cleaning all spills, and broken glassware/dishes immediately, using floor signs when necessary
  • Cleaning of all equipment, tools, and supplies and maintaining equipment in good working order while following all procedures and policies set forth by the company, division, department and County health department
  • Working as a team and effectively communicating with management, chef and service staff in order to fulfill and address any issues or needs requested by guests and/or other Associates
  • Enforce all State and Federal laws regarding liquor sales
  • Perform additional duties as assigned that may be outside of the normal scope of duties based on business needs.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • One (1) year experience in a hotel, private club, or similar restaurant establishment preferred
  • Must have strong communication skills and ability to multi-task is required
  • Always being positive, showing enthusiasm, being humble, being thankful, and being respectful to all team members.
  • Ability to follow directions well, make quick decisions, and keep organized while under pressure
  • Ability to read and write in English proficiently, as well as having basic math skills and the ability to use a calculator.
  • Must be punctual and have regular and reliable attendance.
  • Previous exposure to high volume restaurant environment preferred
  • Basic computer skills and experience with computer based reservations systems preferred
  • Must have a positive attitude, be self-motivated, polite, energetic and a willing learner
  • Availability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays
  • Must be 18 years of age to serve alcohol
  • Previous barista experience preferred

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

Most work shifts and tasks are performed indoors but may have some tasks and/or shifts assigned outdoors. Indoor temperature is moderate and controlled by the clubhouse environmental systems. Must be able to bend, stoop, squat and stretch to fulfill tasks. Requires manual dexterity, grasping, writing, standing, sitting, walking, repetitive motions, bending, and climbing. Must be able to stand and exert well-paced mobility for up to 7 hours in length. Also, you must be physically able to walk without assistance on various surfaces for an extended period of time. Must be physically able to lift and carry heavy trays and equipment as well as delicate china and glassware, up to 50 lbs. Must be able to push and pull carts, and equipment weighing up to 50 lbs. on a regular and continuing basis.
