The Major Gifts Officer for New England will play a pivotal role in advancing the chapter’s mission by fostering relationships with donors, creating, and executing strategies for donor engagement, and supporting growth and development. This position requires a results-driven professional who can manage multiple responsibilities, effectively utilize CRM tools, and collaborate with stakeholders to achieve fundraising goals.

JOB RESONSIBILITIES:

    Support New England team with implementation of expansion strategies for achieving chapter’s objectives and fundraising goals Steward existing donors for retention and growth through personalized outreach, meetings, and tailored engagement opportunitiesIdentify, cultivate and solicit donors, with a focus on new communities and foundations
Work closely with Executive Director to develop emerging and untapped markets, including lay lead committees for key groupsAssist with planning and execution of a diverse range of events across New EnglandOccasional evening/weekend programming

POSITION QUALIFICATAIONS: 

5+ years of demonstrated success in fundraising, stewardship and event planning/coordinationDemonstrated ability to build and maintain strong relationships with donors and stakeholdersBachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in nonprofit management, fundraising, related fieldExcellent verbal and written communication skillsStrong organizational and project management abilitiesAbility to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced team environmentCommitment to integrity, ethics, and discretionHigh-level proficiency with fundraising software, CRM tools and Microsoft Office Suite; knowledge of Raiser’s Edge a plusFamiliarity with the New England community preferred

LOCATION:

Remote work but candidates should live in the Greater Boston AreaRegional (New England) travel for meetings and/or events on weekdays and some weekends
