The Azure Cloud Engineer will be responsible for designing, implementing, maintaining, and optimizing cloud infrastructure while ensuring security, scalability, and operational excellence. The role requires close collaboration with DevOps, security, and application teams to support business-critical platforms and cloud initiatives.
- Design, deploy, and manage Microsoft Azure cloud infrastructure across enterprise environments.
- Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) solutions using ARM Templates, Bicep, or Terraform to automate deployments.
- Configure and manage Azure services including Virtual Machines, App Services, Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS), Storage Accounts, Azure SQL, Managed Instances, Virtual Networks, Network Security Groups, and Load Balancers.
- Implement identity and access management solutions using Azure Active Directory (Microsoft Entra ID).
- Configure and maintain Azure Backup, disaster recovery solutions, and Azure Site Recovery environments.
- Monitor cloud infrastructure performance using Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, and Application Insights.
- Apply cloud security best practices and implement Azure security controls to protect systems and data.
- Optimize cloud resources and spending through Azure Cost Management practices.
- Support CI/CD pipeline implementation and maintenance using Azure DevOps or GitHub Actions.
- Troubleshoot infrastructure issues, improve reliability, and contribute to continuous cloud platform enhancements.
- Create and maintain technical documentation, operational procedures, and infrastructure standards.
The ideal candidate should have strong experience managing Azure environments, cloud automation, infrastructure security, and enterprise-scale deployments. The role requires both technical expertise and strong collaboration skills to work effectively across engineering teams.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 8+ years of hands-on experience working with Microsoft Azure cloud technologies.
- Strong experience with Azure networking, including Virtual Networks, VNet Peering, ExpressRoute, and VPN configurations.
- Good understanding of Azure Active Directory (Entra ID), identity management, and access control.
- Experience managing Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS) and container-based environments.
- Proficiency in scripting using PowerShell and/or Bash.
- Experience implementing Infrastructure as Code solutions, preferably with Terraform.
- Hands-on experience supporting CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps or similar tools.
- Strong understanding of cloud security principles and Azure security best practices.
- Experience with cloud monitoring, logging, and troubleshooting tools.
- Knowledge of Windows and Linux administration.
- Experience with automation tools such as Ansible is a plus.
- Familiarity with multi-cloud environments such as AWS or Google Cloud is an advantage.
- Azure certifications such as AZ-104, AZ-305, or AZ-400 are highly desirable.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, communication, and documentation skills.
