Education Coordinator in Wilton Manors, Florida at Helping Advance and Nurture the Development of You

The Education Coordinator supports homeless and at-risk youth through HANDY's L.I.F.E. Program, serving students at Boyd Anderson High School and Lauderdale Middle School. This position provides case management, mentoring, academic support, crisis intervention, and connections to community resources to help youth overcome barriers and achieve educational and career success.

• Provide on-site case management and crisis intervention services.
• Develop individualized education and career plans.
• Monitor student progress and collaborate with school personnel and community partners.
• Facilitate life skills, academic enrichment, and college/career readiness programming.
• Maintain accurate documentation and case notes.
• Assist families with crisis stabilization and resource coordination.
• Participate in program events, trainings, and agency initiatives.
• Transport youth to approved program activities as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Education, Psychology, Human Services, or a related field (equivalent experience may be considered).
• Bilingual in Creole preferred.
• One to three years of experience working directly with youth, preferably those facing homelessness or other significant barriers.
• Strong communication, organizational, and relationship-building skills.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation required.
• Ability to work occasional evenings and weekends.
