Podiatry Medical Assistant in Gilbert, Arizona at Desert Spine & Sports Physicians

We are seeking a friendly, dependable, and motivated Full-Time Medical Assistant to join our busy podiatry practice. If you enjoy working with patients, thrive in a fast-paced medical environment, and take pride in providing exceptional care, we'd love to meet you!

Responsibilities

• Room patients and obtain vital signs and medical history
• Assist the physician with examinations and in-office procedures
• Prepare treatment rooms and sterilize instruments
• Apply and remove dressings, assist with wound care, and provide patient education
• Perform EMR documentation accurately and efficiently
• Schedule appointments and coordinate patient follow-up
• Verify medications and update patient records
• Maintain inventory and stock exam rooms
• Follow OSHA and HIPAA guidelines to ensure patient safety and confidentiality

Qualifications

• Medical Assistant certification preferred but not required
• Previous experience in a medical office preferred (podiatry, orthopedic, or surgical experience is a plus)
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
• Comfortable using electronic medical records (EMR - eCW)
• Reliable, professional, and compassionate with patients
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Schedule

• Full-time
• Monday–Friday
• Day shift
• Possible 1 Saturday a month
