Position Summary
The Commercialization Project Manager is responsible for coordinating and driving the successful execution of new products and commercialization initiatives from development through production and market launch. This position works cross-functionally across the organization to ensure projects are effectively planned, communicated, and executed in alignment with business and customer requirements.
This role manages project timelines, priorities, deliverables, and overall readiness while identifying potential risks and ensuring appropriate follow-up and accountability. The position requires strong understanding of food manufacturing, product development and project management, along with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, growing manufacturing environment. This role will also develop a broad understanding of Product Development activities and provide support and coverage across the function as business needs require.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Manage commercialization projects from ideation through to production and launch.
- Coordinate and maintain project timelines, milestones, priorities, and deliverables.
- Coordinate cross-functional activities to ensure projects remain on schedule and key requirements are completed.
- Serve as a liaison between Product Development and other business functions throughout the commercialization process.
- Coordinate product trials, scale-up activities, production readiness, and new product launches.
- Identify and communicate to the Director project risks, delays, and barriers.
- Track project status and provide regular communication to stakeholders.
- Coordinate customer-specific requirements related to new products and commercialization projects.
- Support product development activities, documentation, testing, samples, materials, and other project needs as required.
- Partners with appropriate teams to ensure regulatory, quality, food safety, supply chain, packaging, and customer requirements are addressed.
- Maintain organized and accurate project and commercialization documentation.
- Support continuous improvement of commercialization processes, tools, and workflows.
- Provide cross-functional Product Development support and coverage as business needs require.
- Perform other duties and special projects as assigned.
Position Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in food science, Food Technology, Business, Project Management, or a related field preferred.
- A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in commercialization, product development, project management, operations, or related functions.
- PMP or CAPM preferred.
- Experience working within food manufacturing, CPG, bakery, or a similar manufacturing environment required.
- Experience coordinating products or projects through development, production, and launch.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects, priorities, and deadlines simultaneously.
- Strong project management, organizational, and follow-through skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively across multiple functions and levels of the organization.
- Ability to identify issues, develop solutions, and appropriately escalate risks.
- Ability to work independently while effectively collaborating as part of a cross-functional team.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities and business needs.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and project management systems or tools.

- Ability to walk and stand in production areas as necessary to support projects and business activities.
- Ability to occasionally lift and/or move materials, samples, or supplies weighing up to 25 pounds.
- Must be able to follow applicable GMP, food safety, PPE, and workplace safety requirements.
- May occasionally be exposed to varying temperatures, noise, food ingredients, allergens, and other conditions associated with a food manufacturing environment.
- Flexibility to support business and production needs outside of normal business hours on occasion.
- Ability to travel between company locations or other business locations as needed.

Compensation is based on the level of experience, other relevant experience, and requirements of the position. The range provided serves only as a guideline and does not automatically qualify all candidates (internal or external) for the high end of the range.
Base Salary Range: $90,000 to $125,000
