Senior Staff Accountant – (Full-Time)

As HavenRise continues to grow, we are bringing our accounting function in-house and are seeking an experienced Senior Staff Accountant to join our team. In this role, you will work closely with our Chief Financial Officer and take ownership of key day-to-day accounting functions while helping develop strong financial processes and systems to support our continued growth.

Your Role

• Manage full-cycle accounting within Sage Intacct, including general ledger activity, journal entries, reconciliations, and month-end close.
• Prepare and maintain weekly 13-week cash flow forecasts and daily cash reporting.
• Manage accounts payable through Bill.com, including vendor setup, coding, approvals, payment runs, and 1099 reporting.
• Record payroll-related accounting entries using information from Paylocity.
• Record revenue and accounts receivable activity using information from our billing and electronic medical record systems in collaboration with the billing team.
• Prepare monthly financial statements, budget-to-actual reports, and other management and investor reporting.
• Develop and maintain accounting policies, internal controls, reconciliations, and month-end close checklists.
• Support the financial setup of new HavenRise locations within Sage Intacct as the organization expands.
• Assist with budgeting, audits, tax-related activities, and special projects.
• Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes, strengthen controls, and increase efficiencies.
• Partner with leadership and operational teams to support accurate and informed financial decision-making.

Compensation & Benefits

• Salary: $80,000 – $100,000 annually, commensurate with licensure, experience and qualifications.

Schedule: Full-Time, Exempt | On-site/Hybrid with occasional travel to HavenRise locations

What We’re Looking For

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting required.
• At least 4 years of accounting experience, including full-cycle general ledger accounting and month-end close.
• Hands-on Sage Intacct experience required.
• Healthcare accounting experience preferred, particularly within behavioral health, residential, or outpatient healthcare settings.
• Strong Excel skills and comfort working with financial data.
• Ability to work independently, manage competing priorities, and take ownership of responsibilities in a growing environment.
• Strong attention to detail, organization, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• CPA, progress toward CPA licensure, or MBA preferred.
• Experience with Bill.com, Paylocity, Compass, KIPU, or similar systems preferred.
• Multi-location or multi-entity accounting experience preferred.
• Experience within an investor-backed or private equity-supported organization is a plus.
