Housing Specialist-Property Management in Morris, Minnesota at Stevens County

Perform a variety of administrative and professional work in the implementation of assisted housing and community development programs.

Typical schedule is 35 hours/week; however additional time, including evening hours or weekends, may be required occasionally, but varies per workload demands. Position requires ownership of an operable, licensed and insured motor vehicle.

Must be able to work independently, handle highly confidential data, be self-motivated and have basic accounting knowledge. Work closely with diverse clientele. Read, understand, and implement complex state and federal regulations. Interpret and apply MN rental laws and HUD regulations to deliver timely, reliable information to tenants and staff. Develop and maintain effective working relationships and communicate effectively, both orally and in writing with the public, HRA clients, social service representatives, law enforcement, other housing authorities, and local, state and federal agencies. Detail-oriented, ability to prioritize workload and meet deadlines, exceptional client-service skills. Spanish bilingual skills beneficial.

High school diploma, two years post-secondary training in a housing related field and two years’ experience in the administration of assisted housing programs or an equivalent combination of training and experience.

Must have a valid Class D driver’s license, clean driving record, and reliable, insured transportation.

Operation of personal computer for administering housing programs, communications, research, data entry, and entering time. Learning new software as needed.
