Responsibilities

The Materials Supervisor leads the end-to-end supply chain scope at MSA China, including production and materials planning, purchasing, inventory control, and warehouse management. The role supervises a team at the Suzhou factory and works closely with cross-functional teams such as Customer Service, Demand Planning, Production, Quality, Sourcing, Marketing, and Finance to ensure efficient operations and a strong customer experience.

Responsibilities

Production Planning

• Work with demand planner to review and align demand forecast
• Make and develop a robust capacity planning and level production
• Be responsible for production scheduling across production line
• Proactively identify production related bottlenecks in advance, and address solution to ensure production runs smoothly
• Track daily output vs plan
• Support NPD launch on time
• Optimize production planning process and improve efficiency.
• Execute ECN Change related to planning
• Responsible for updating in-house production leadtime, total replenishment leadtime, strategy group and tier type etc. master data

Materials Planning and Purchasing

• Be responsible for materials planning and purchasing through running MRP
• Follow up with suppliers to ensure the right materials with right quantity to arrive on time
• Settle supplier quality problems and delivery issues by working with cross functions
• Lead materials supply process optimization and continuous improvement
• Responsible for updating safety stock, MoQ, purchasing lead time, GR leadtime, MPR type, procurement type and special procurement etc. master data
• Assist to monitor and control materials cost

Warehouse management and inventory control

• Fully responsible for warehouse management including raw materials, FG and delivery
• Be responsible for inventory control covering FIFO, stock taking, shelf-life management
• Ensuring all warehouse activities adhere to safety requirements and corporate rules.
• Organizing storage for maximum efficiency and easy access.
• Keeping precise records of all incoming and existing products to ensure adequate stock levels
• Be responsible for warehouse 6S management
• Be responsible for leading warehouse continuous improvement initiatives

Others

• People coaching and people management
• Preparation and submission of various reports per request
• Team’s performance assessment
• Other assignment from supervisor

Qualifications

Experience (required)

• 5+ years purchasing / procurement experience
• Advanced skills with Excel and data analytics

Experience (preferred)

• Experience using SAP PP/MM module (S4 HANA)
• Advanced excel skills
• Fluent in English (including listening and oral as well)
• Direct planning and purchase of low and high volume / high mix material
• Prior experience in electronics industry or automotive preferred
• Strong negotiation and communication capability
• Strong-stress-resilient
• Highly self-motivated

Education (required)

• Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain / Engineering /Logistics / Business or Related Field

• CPIM
