About the BREAD SHAPER Role:

The Bread Shape team member plays a critical role in the production process within the accommodation and food services industry by precisely hand shaping and preparing ingredients to meet quality and bakery specifications. This position ensures that all shaped items conform to established standards, contributing directly to the overall efficiency and quality of the production line. The Bread Shape team collaborates closely with other production team members to maintain a smooth workflow and timely completion of tasks. Attention to detail and consistency are paramount, as the role impacts both the aesthetic and functional aspects of the final product. Ultimately, the Bread Shaper helps uphold the company’s reputation for excellence by delivering products that meet customer expectations.

Bread Shaping Team Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Math skills are required
  • Experience hand shaping or using similar production machinery in a manufacturing or food production setting.
  • Basic understanding of safety protocols and quality control procedures.
  • Physical ability to stand for extended periods and handle materials safely.
  • Familiarity with food safety standards and hygiene practices.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work under production deadlines.

Bread Shaping Team Responsibilities:

  • Hand shape artisan bread dough to form products according to detailed specifications.
  • Inspect raw materials and finished products to ensure compliance with quality standards and report any deviations.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area to promote safety and efficiency in the production environment.
  • Collaborate with production supervisors and team members to optimize shaping processes and troubleshoot issues.
  • Document production activities, including quantities shaped, materials used, and any quality concerns encountered.

Skills:

The Bread Shaper ensures products meet precise specifications. Attention to detail is essential for hand shaping raw materials and finished goods to maintain high-quality standards. Communication skills are important for coordinating with supervisors and team members to address production challenges and improve processes. Time management and organizational skills help the Bread Shaper maintain productivity while adhering to safety and hygiene protocols. Additionally, problem-solving abilities enable the Shaper to quickly identify and resolve issues that may arise during the shaping process, supporting continuous production flow.


Availability: Midday, Weekends, and Holidays
Hours of Bakery Operations: 9/10am - 8/9pm
Shift Length: 4 hours, 6 hours, and 8 hours
Part-Time: up to 30 hours Full-Time: up to 40 hours
