Position Title: Yard Supervisor
Reports To: Operations Manager, Secure Parking
FLSA Status: Non-Exempt
Job Location: Newark, NJ
General Summary
Under the direction of the Assistant Operations Manager, the Yard Supervisor is responsible for supporting the management team by using his/her previous Yard Coordinator experience to supervise the Yard employees. Leading by example, the Yard Supervisor will assist in yard safety and in securing and organizing 635’s container storage yard throughout his/her work shift. Additional duties include utilizing a company yard switcher, pick-up truck and/or container forklift and assisting with special projects as needed.
- High School Diploma or General Educational Development (GED)
- Two or more years’ experience as a Yard Coordinator for 635 Secure Parking
- Valid New Jersey driver’s license with a clean driving history
- Strong verbal & written communication and interpersonal skills
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, specifically Excel and Word
- Willingness to work additional hours, including off-hours “call-ins” and some holidays

While performing the duties of this position, the employee is frequently exposed to:

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the minimum requirements of this position:
- Position often requires standing for long periods of time, climbing ladders and working in high places. It also requires the ability to lift 50 pounds.
This is a full time position within a 24/7/365 operation. Employee may be assigned to work various shifts including weekends and holidays and may be required to work additional hours.
