This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Senior Analyst, Verticals & Performance based in Canada.
This role sits at the intersection of technical analytics, business strategy, and advertising technology. You will contribute to strategic initiatives that shape vertical-specific solutions and bring new innovations to market. Working across Product, Engineering, Sales, Marketing, Business Intelligence, and Data Science, you will help design, test, and refine data-driven solutions. The position combines hands-on technical problem-solving with experimentation, performance analysis, and project ownership. You will also work with strategic clients on analytics proof-of-concepts and help turn successful use cases into scalable products. This is an opportunity to influence the development of sophisticated programmatic advertising solutions while working in a highly collaborative environment.
- Support the planning and execution of technical roadmaps for high-priority projects, including the development, testing, and maintenance of targeting and measurement solutions.
- Collaborate with Product, Revenue, Marketing, Business Intelligence, and Data Science teams to design, test, and iterate on vertical-focused initiatives.
- Investigate technical issues such as reporting discrepancies and data pipeline bugs by analyzing datasets, identifying root causes, and coordinating with technical teams on solutions.
- Design and oversee experiments to validate hypotheses and identify opportunities to improve marketing performance.
- Contribute to analytics proof-of-concepts with strategic clients, testing and validating custom use cases and establishing potential paths toward productization.
- Define, monitor, and report on performance OKRs, including data benchmarks, measurement accuracy, and lower-funnel performance indicators.
- Communicate project progress, analytical findings, and strategic impact to senior internal stakeholders and external audiences.
- Provide hands-on support for campaign reporting, measurement setup, ad-hoc data analysis, market research, and competitor research.
Requirements:
- 3–5 years of experience in a technical analytics role such as Systems Analysis, Data Science, Technical Product Management, Technology Consulting, or Data Analytics.
- Familiarity with Python and core data science libraries such as NumPy and Pandas for data manipulation, modeling, and workflow automation.
- Solid SQL skills and experience writing queries to retrieve and analyze datasets from cloud-based data platforms.
- Practical experience with statistical analysis, predictive modeling, regression analysis, and rigorous A/B testing methodologies.
- Demonstrated ability to independently manage strategically important and operationally complex projects within cross-functional teams.
- Strong business judgment and a structured approach to developing hypotheses, designing experiments, and applying analytical problem-solving techniques.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with confidence presenting findings and recommendations to senior stakeholders and external audiences.
- Ability to collaborate effectively across technical and business functions while managing multiple priorities.
- Previous experience or familiarity with marketing and advertising technology is considered an advantage.
