Job Description
TruBlue Home Service Ally of Northeast Triangle
Are you mechanically inclined, comfortable using tools, and interested in learning a skilled trade? TruBlue Home Service Ally is looking for a motivated individual who wants to build a career in residential construction, carpentry, remodeling, and home repair. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who already knows their way around basic hand and power tools but wants the opportunity to learn from an experienced professional in the field.
We are looking for someone who shows up, works hard, listens, asks questions, takes pride in their work, and genuinely wants to learn.
You will work directly alongside our Field Operations Manager, who has extensive experience across residential construction, finish carpentry, trim work, bathroom remodeling, repairs, installations, and general home improvement. The right person will have the opportunity to develop real, hands on skills while working on actual customer projects. What You Will Learn and Work On You may assist with and eventually perform work including:
• Finish carpentry and trim installation
• Door and window repairs and installation
• Bathroom remodeling
• Flooring and baseboards
• Drywall repairs
• Cabinetry and shelving
• Deck and exterior repairs
• Grab bars, railings, and senior safety modifications
• Fixture and hardware installation
• Punch list repairs
• General home maintenance and handyman projects
• Basic remodeling and residential construction
Our goal is not to keep you carrying materials forever. If you have the ability and the work ethic, we want to teach you how to complete projects yourself and grow into a skilled technician.
What We Are Looking For You should already be comfortable with basic tools and understand how to safely use common hand and power tools.
We are looking for someone who:
• Wants to learn a skilled trade and build a long term career
• Has basic experience using drills, saws, levels, measuring tools, and common hand tools
• Can accurately read a tape measure
• Is dependable and shows up when scheduled
• Takes direction well
• Pays attention to details
• Is comfortable working inside customers' homes
• Communicates respectfully with customers and coworkers
• Keeps the jobsite clean and organized
• Is willing to learn new skills and accept coaching
• Can safely lift and carry construction materials
• Has reliable transportation and a valid driver's license
Previous construction experience is helpful, but it is not required. Attitude, mechanical ability, dependability, and willingness to learn matter more to us than having years of experience.
Who Will Do Well Here
This position is ideal for someone who likes working with their hands and wants more than just a job.
Maybe you have worked on projects with family, taken construction or shop classes, worked maintenance, helped with remodeling projects, or simply discovered that you are good at fixing things. I
f you are the person your friends call because you know how to use tools, but you have never had the opportunity to turn that ability into a career, we want to talk to you.
What We Offer
• Hands on training with an experienced Field Operations Manager
• Exposure to multiple skilled trades
• Real residential construction and remodeling experience
• Opportunity to develop into a skilled technician
• Variety of work instead of doing the same task every day
• A locally owned company where good work gets noticed
• Opportunity for increased responsibility as your skills develop
TruBlue Home Service Ally is a locally owned, veteran owned, and woman owned home services company serving homeowners throughout the Northeast Triangle area.
Our technicians are trusted inside our customers' homes, so professionalism, integrity, craftsmanship, communication, and respect are extremely important to us.
