Job Description
This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for an Account Manager (Outbound Sales & Client Success) | Web Design Agency based in Mexico.
As an Account Manager, you will serve as a key point of contact for both prospective and existing clients of a growing web design and digital marketing business. You will combine outbound prospecting with client onboarding, relationship management, and ongoing account support. Your work will help identify qualified opportunities while ensuring existing clients receive a responsive, well-organized experience throughout their projects. You will work directly with the founder and receive hands-on training in a consultative, low-pressure sales approach. The role is ideal for someone who enjoys speaking with people, building trust, staying organized, and taking ownership. As the business grows, there is meaningful potential to expand your responsibilities and develop into a broader account-management position.
- Conduct outbound cold calls to U.S. small business owners to understand their current website situation, identify potential needs, assess fit, and generate qualified opportunities for the founder to close.
- Build rapport with prospects through confident, professional, and consultative conversations rather than high-pressure sales tactics.
- Guide new clients through the onboarding process after a project is sold, gathering required information, answering initial questions, and coordinating next steps.
- Maintain regular communication with active clients, provide updates, respond to routine questions, and escalate issues requiring additional support.
- Stay connected with former clients after project completion, maintaining strong relationships and identifying potential opportunities for additional services or future website work.
- Keep accurate records of calls, prospects, leads, client interactions, follow-ups, and account activity so opportunities and commitments are never lost.
- Manage daily priorities independently, balancing outbound prospecting with onboarding, client communication, follow-ups, and administrative responsibilities.
- Work closely with the founder to learn and apply the organisation's sales methodology, client-management practices, and approach to building long-term customer relationships.
- Help strengthen and improve client-facing processes, workflows, and communication practices as the role and business evolve.
- Use CRM, lead-tracking, communication, and AI-powered tools effectively to maintain productivity and improve sales and account-management workflows.
- Fluent, clear spoken English is essential, with the confidence to communicate naturally with U.S.-based small business owners over the phone.
- Strong written English skills for email communication, client updates, documentation, and follow-up.
- Genuine confidence and resilience when making outbound calls and speaking with people who may not already be familiar with the business.
- Previous client-facing experience in customer support, retail, hospitality, call centers, agencies, sales, or a similar environment.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport quickly and establish professional relationships.
- Self-motivated, persistent, and comfortable handling rejection while maintaining a positive and professional attitude.
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple leads, clients, conversations, and follow-ups without losing track of commitments.
- Ability to structure and manage your own day effectively while working remotely and with limited day-to-day supervision.
- Reliable internet connectivity and availability to work during U.S. business hours.
- Based in Mexico or elsewhere in Latin America, with the ability to support U.S.-based clients and prospects.
- Previous outbound sales or cold-calling experience is a strong advantage, even if it was not part of a formal SDR or Account Executive role.
- Experience working for a digital agency, marketing business, web services company, or another service-based organisation serving U.S. customers is a plus.
- Familiarity with CRM systems, lead-management platforms, or other customer-tracking tools is beneficial.
- Experience creating or improving customer-support processes, workflows, SOPs, or automations is advantageous.
- Practical experience using AI tools such as ChatGPT or Claude to improve productivity, communication, research, or business workflows is a plus.
- Interest in developing from a sales-focused position into a broader account-management and client-success role as the business grows.
- Fully remote, full-time position based in Mexico or elsewhere in Latin America.
- Competitive compensation of $800–$1,200 USD per month.
- Potential to transition toward a commission-based or blended salary-plus-commission structure as you contribute to new business growth.
- Direct, hands-on training and mentorship from the founder.
- Significant ownership across both outbound sales and client-account management.
- Opportunity to help shape a newly established role and influence how sales and client-success processes evolve.
- Potential for career growth into a broader account-management or client-success position.
- Flexible remote working environment.
- Opportunity to work directly with U.S.-based small business clients and develop international commercial experience.
